You'll keep thinking about it long after finishing

Absolutely amazing, thought provoking and chillingly real. An updated version of a timeless novel by one of the great authors of this century! The book starts quickly and keeps going and going!

Not one of his best.

The dialogue is just not the best. Maybe it was the reader, but he has been good in other books. The drama portrayed in the book is just too much, too sappy, by so many of the characters. And it goes on for far too long, which had me use the 30 sec fast forward often.

It is pretty obvious what is going to happen early on in the book after the incident and this creates an agonizing trip through unnecessary words.

What is also tiring is the unnecessary use of foul language. I think it would have been better to just describe the faces rather than subject the reader to the unnecessary gratuitous language.

Good story

If you could sum up Mayday in three words, what would they be?

Maibe this can happen, I dont know, but its entertaining, good suspence.

Scott was gr8 as always, content was good but at times a little harried. I enjoyed it very much.

A great book!

This is a great book! Could not put it down. Well balanced plots and developed characters…all that we expect from Mr. DeMille. But he really tightens the screws on what’s happening and what might happen next! Regarding the advice to not read it while on a flight? Ignore that at your peril! LOL By the way, Scott Brick is excellent, as always. I could listen to him read me the phone book. ;-)

Outstanding reader.

I liked the clash of ethical and moral issues that the major characters faced and how the forces of greed and self preservation on each were interwoven into the story.

Loved this story so much!

I loved it! Kept me on the edge of my seat. I wanted everybody to go away until I finished listening. Awesome narration, too! Fabulous!

Not as groundbreaking as advertised but a good listen. You appreciate the perfect storm of conspiracy and CYA that allows for such an event to happen.

Temporal Confusion

What a great premise, great characters, and very good narration. Unfortunately, I found the attempt to update the technology (which is critical to the plot) from the seventies to the nineties difficult to believe, especially in the context of the formality of the dialogue, which just no longer happens. In addition, there are several other anachronisms that were not fixed. I felt that the changes made to update the story were too obviously inserted and detracted from the real drama to the point of actually being irritating.

In summary, I wish I had bought the original book so I could have experienced the characters and the drama without the distraction of awkwardly inserted updates.
