About this listen

Alessa (Ghost)

Maverick’s in love with a dead man buried at Arlington National Cemetery, where his heart might as well be buried too. My husband’s stuck in the past, lost in his fractured mind, and the last ten years are a blur to him, meaning I’m a blur to him.

But I’m not a ghost. I’m a woman. I’m alive. I breathe. I hurt.

Should I let go or hold on? My instinct is to let go, but I have family now. People who matter to me. A posse I’ll kill for.

I’m no longer nothing; I’m something. I’m a Sinner. And I’ve found my ride and die…now I just have to get him to remember me.

Impossible? I’ve beaten worse odds and survived.

Game on, Maverick. Game on.

Maverick is the sixth book in the A Dark & Dirty Sinners’ MC series. It is not a standalone.

captivating story

ghost is very devoted to maverik. I love how maverick finds his way back to Ghost and how she finds herself truly a part of the MC. The annoying thing is that even tho it's 12 hours, it still leaves me wanting more at the end

Maverick

Maverick is one of my favorite sinners. He is so beautifully broken. Yet so is Alessa. She truly comes into her own.

Stephen and Stella do an amazing job bringing this heart breaking story to life.

One of my favorites

I’ve read and listened to this series and most of the cross series with the Five Pointers. And I gotta tell you the love story of Maverick and Ghost is by far one of my favorites. Through the beauty of unconditional love they brought each other back to life. Life is complicated enough- trying to find our way thru the darkness of uncertainty and personal growth- but add in severe life altering tragedy, PTSD and CTE and you’re looking at a whole new set of challenges. Maverick and Ghost clung to each other which was the beacon of light they needed to find their way thru the dark.
Serena did an excellent job of weaving all the broken pieces of these two people together so they could find strength thru love.
Stephen Dexter (huge fan here) and Stella Bloom did a spectacular job narrating.
Ok so I’m not as verbally poetic or talented as some reviewers who write a synopsis of the story line- I’m a reader not a writer- but you kinda get the gist of why I recommend you read it. Right? Well I hope you love it as much as I did.

Stilling thinking about this one 😍

Ok so I wasn’t sure about this one when I started. Amnesia tropes are not my favorite, but this was such a fresh take on it. I loved Maverick in the previous book, but I love him even more now. Alessa is a badass. I love the relationship between them and how gentle they are in building their relationship while navigating serious trauma.

The audiobook narration was perfect. Stella Bloom did an amazing job with Alessa’s accent and emotions. Stephen Dexter’s voice for Maverick was exactly what I imagined it would be.

This book lives rent free in my head.

This series has major content warnings. I encourage you to check them before starting to be prepared for the intensity. Serena Akeroyd handles it all with care and impeccable writing through out the series.

Happy for now ending..

Twelfth in The Five Points‘ universe. So much going on in between the Five Points‘ and the Satin‘s MC. Multiple plot lines and character interactions really keep a reader on their toes! Mind the TW‘s. Narration outstanding. My hat is off to you Serena Akeroyd brilliant world building and riveting characters. Please follow the writer's suggested reading order, so important to the overreaching story arc.

So good, great narration!

Omfg….this friggin book! Alessa is such a saint! Maverick is not an easy man to be around after loosing years of memories due to brain trauma and PTSD. But Alessa stays by his side and proves what an incredibly strong woman she is. Maverick’s journey is hard, complicated, and heartbreaking, but together they get through. And that epilogue…I loved it! Gosh, this has been my favorite book this far. The MC business is also just as interesting as the love story.

The narration in this book is so so good! Stella Bloom is absolutely AMAZING as Alessa! I was so impressed. Definitely worth the listen!
