About this listen

When fire ravages Wyoming land, fireweed is among the first plants to return, brightening a blighted area with the joy of its blooms. Small-town lawyer Taylor Anne Larsen faces the challenge of doing the same for the pain-ravaged heart and disbelieving soul of ranch foreman Cal Ruskoff. Armed with the same grace and grit as the wildflower fireweed, Taylor also has allies - a matchmaking friend, the Wyoming winter, high-octane mutual attraction, and a rescued puppy who slips past Cal's defenses.

Cal might give in to passion temporarily, but from behind the wall he's built around his past and his secrets, he's certain Taylor is all that he can't let himself have. And he'll use all his weapons to keep her out.

Enjoyable

Both author Patricia McLinn and narrator Julia Motyka are new to me. Although the second book in the series it can be read/listened to as a stand alone. I enjoyed the story and felt that Julia Motyka did a great job in her narration. .
A sweet and entertaining story that captured my attention and kept me invested. I really loved the interactions of Cal and Taylor with the rescue dog Sin, it made for some heart warming moments throughout the book.
Can Taylor break through the walls that Cal has built around him, or is he destined to be alone?

Match Made in Wyoming

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely, it's a wonderful story about needing to let go and being open to happiness. Listening to the book makes it come alive much more so than just reading it from a book!

What other book might you compare Match Made in Wyoming to and why?

All the books in this series are really good stories. I'm am enjoying getting to know the town and the characters.

What does Julia Motyka bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Hearing it read out loud makes it more real and helps me remember more details than if I was reading it from a book myself.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

At the end when Cal took Taylor to the land he had bought and all the land was coming to life again. All the sweet things he said to her, telling her he loved her and that he wanted a life with her. So romantic.

Any additional comments?

I have enjoyed this series by Patricia McLinn and hope to "read" more by this author.
