FOLLW THE BOOK

I enjoyed listening to this book having read the book several times I can say that it does not follow the story. There is at least one chapter missing the epiloge. Scenes in the book are not mentioned at all. Important facts gone. Everything goes along okay but some of the facts are totaly wrong.

Sentimental Favorite

This is a sentimental favorite for Linda Howard fans. I'd love to see this rerecorded unabridged with someone who can sound more convincing as patriarch and original alpha male Wolf Mackenzie. Recording Howard's A GAME OF CHANCE would complete the series.

Wish this was the full novel. I really enjoy this story and want to hear it all.

Love this book. But it doesn't follow it self. Too much left out of the story.

Something's Missing

I've read the story & thought I would enjoy listening ....

There were at least 4 scenes I noticed skipped over in this audible - one of which made a plot twist weird & two took Joes character out & one scene which helped Mary get over the aftershocks of the almost rape.

I was disappointed.

Macke's mountain

I didn't see that this book was abridged when I got it.I don't like shorten books and would have gotten an unabridged book if I could have found one.

This is an older story but it’s definitely one to read or listen to. Linda Howard creates awesome characters. I so look forward to the rest of this series on Audible.

Great story!

I have enjoyed this series even though I have listened to it out of order.

Great beginning to a great series.

The only problem with the Audible version was the
shortened story. It left out probably unnecessary parts of the book that rounded out the characters and gave the story depth. The addition of the old maiden aunt that had raised Mary showed just how difficult It was for Mary to adapt to Colorado and Wolf MacKenzie. It was done well and I enjoyed it with only that one complaint.

Loved this book in hardcopy & even more in audio.

Testamony to past events creating our responses in life. Not what you are but what you make of yourself. Good hearing this great series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mackenzie's Mountain?

The love Wolf shows & admits when Mary is hurt.

She makes you believe more than 1 reader is there.

My 1 st. Linda Howard book to read in print. I loved it then It came alive in audio!
