Immensely Helpful book.

Have you ever been so frustrated you didn't know what to say? I have. Have you ever been so mad you wanted to pound something? I have Have you ever been so sad you couldn't stop crying? I have. Have you ever been in a situation where you could not express the emotion you were feeling because it was the wrong place and the wrong time with the wrong people? I have. I think all of us have felt this way at sometime or another. Wouldn't you like to be able to learn how to control this? To be able to verbalize without berating or belittling someone. To be able to just tell someone how you feel in an appropriate way. Well that's the kind of things you learn and way more in MASTER YOUR EMOTIONS. I had never heard of DBT before. What an amazing thing. Ms. Hardy was so informative about DBT; she knows her stuff. I would definitely recommend her book. You nailed this Jasmine! Thank you.

Such an important book

Extremely relevant with many key takeaways

I found the DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) techniques explained in the book to be helpful strategies for improving emotional well-being. A Must Read For Everyone

Everyone deals with emotions to some degree. Some are able to handle them better than others. Some aren't sure how to handle them. This book breaks down emotions and provides relatable examples and strategies to help manage what you've got going on inside. This book teaches you to be self aware and take a breath before responding/reacting. This is a very comprehensive and well researched topic and I'm glad I had the privilege of listening to it. Highly recommend!

So Helpful!

Let me start by saying that I have a two year old child with special needs. My emotions get triggered a lot, from getting angry at him because he is unable to listen, to then crying because I feel so lost and sad. I realize I need to work on my emotions because they also trigger my child and we get into an emotional power struggle which is why I got this book. This was my first time learning about DBT and how to use it to manage emotions. I found the information in the book to be very actionable and I am implementing it's teachings into my daily life as a mom to be more mindful of my emotions and behaviors.

Handling life more like a guru

Jasmine Hardy has obviously done the work when it come to tapping into the mindful practices of old and modernized them to become harmonious in our usually stressful day to day lives. And by done the work, I mean gone into the recesses of her psyche and “pulled out the weeds” as it were. And she has so graciously presented us with the toolkit on how to do just that with “Master Your Emotions.” The listener is given statistics and alarming facts about studies carried out regarding mental health, no surprise that negative emotions can be catastrophically harmful… But she offers an approach to combat these symptoms and ailments with her 6-step framework, a DBT approach, and tons more strategies that will aid you in handling life more like a guru and less like a viking beserker. Great stuff for anyone looking to work on their mental health and feelings.
