Abducted

A San Francisco debutante answers an ad for a mail order bride posted by the sheriff of a small town in Wyoming. She wants to escape the society in which she lives and dreads marrying a stuffy aristocrat. The title reveals that she is somehow abducted.
It’s a simple story with a good plot. I have issues with some of the dialogue; the phrases seem too modern.
The narrator is not very good in my opinion. She mispronounced several words and ran sentences together where there was a scene change. Often the male voice was her own rather than a man’s. Her voice is pleasant enough, however she didn’t add to the book but rather made it sound worse.

Great one

I loved the storyline of this book. There were twists and turns that kept the story fresh and interesting. The characters are well thought out and I look forward to seeing more of them in future books. This is a great beginning to the Green River series.

Mail Order Abduction

This is the first book in this series. Elijah is the sheriff in green River and sends off for a bride. Lisette is a nice and sweet girl that cares more about love than money. Lisette and her sister's father lost their wealth and her sister wants Lisette to marry for money but she doesn't want to and runs off to Green River to marry the sheriff. Along the way she gets kidnapped. Elijah has to save the day. I like books about sheriffs and Marshalls and I like Elijah but I don't like his methods of doing his job. He's not the type of sheriff that just shoots them and that's it. He gives them too many breaks. This is a good start to this series. Gina Dobbs does a great job narrating this book.
