About this listen

Keisha “Bussa” Taylor is happy as hell to be graduating from Miles College. Coming from Tulane Court in Montgomery, she’d moved to Birmingham when her high school sweetheart and then dope boy, Ra’el “Magnum” King, had broken her heart. She found herself stripping to pay her way through school and, on her last night her past comes looking for her. When tragedy strikes at the strip club, Bussa finds herself back in Montgomery looking for work. Taking a chance, she gets accepted into the Police Academy, and may end up going after the one man who once had her heart. Ra’el “Magnum” King, was a dope boy on the rise when Bussa left him four years ago. Now the kingpin and known as the King of Da Gump, he feels like he’s untouchable. When he finds out where Bussa has been hiding all these years, he goes to reclaim what’s his. The only issue, his main, Blessyng—the good girl he can see himself settling down with one day. Blessyng is the perfect housewife, but he needs a ridah like Bussa on his team, too. Is it possible to have his cake and eat it, too? When Sam Smith saw Bussa, he knew he had to have her. Unhappy at home with his wife, he needs to find a piece on the side who can help him relieve some tension. Pulling a few strings, he got partnered with her fresh out of the Academy and made it his business to keep her close. She’s the kinda woman who will help you clean up your dirt, and he had plenty of it. However, soon he finds out that Bussa is already loyal to another and, in order to have her, he’s gonna have to remove the competition. Will Bussa have to decide between her oath to the streets and her oath to protect and serve? Will Magnum go down at the hands of the woman who was once his ridah? Will Sam get his prize? And if so, what will it cost him? African American Romance King Heartfelt Royalty

Good story

This is the second book I have read by this author and I enjoyed this as well. Keep up the good work. The narrator could’ve been human but other than that no complaints
