Great Book!!!!!

I absolutely love this book. I cannot wait to hear more In this series. The voice performers were phenomenal. I can't get over with how good this book is. Bring on the next one.

Wow this is one of my new favorites

The story is amazing and I couldn't put it down. I love a sliver of life but dark edge style with a retired soldier. The contrast of moments and characters had me on the edge of my seat wanting more. I highly recommend this book.

This book really hit home. I love how davik tries so hard to protect his own!

excellent story

This is my first time with Court's storytelling power. If you like this genre of fantasy, read/listen to this book. The narrorators, Dubois and Vert did a very good job. Vert's singing was a special treat.

I like the premise of a jaded old warrior looking for a place to re-enter life and the tale that happens for his look for a "normal," life.

Was not expecting that!

A great story, great performance, and overall great time listening to the book. Amazing book 1, i am looking forward to the continuation of the story.

One of the best books I’ve listened to all year

It is rare that I find an author of the caliber of Bruce Sentar or Daniel Schinhofen, but I just may have found one in this author. It was a great story from beginning to end. It had glimpses of the past, it had adventure, it had mystery and it had romance.
I truly enjoyed the back stories of each character as they came to life.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series. Oh, and the narrators were fantastic. I give this book my highest recommendation.

Great storyline, really captured emotions.

I liked that it wasn't fast written and hot garbage, it focused on the story and it had a lot of "meat on the bone" for the storyline. really great main character. Really well written.

I loved it

To me, it started off kind of slow, and then it took off the story to me was beautifully done. The adventure was awesome. The storytelling was great. I’m not one to give reviews cause I feel like some people give reviews and mess it up for those who want to read the book. So I’ll say this it was fun and I enjoyed it.

The emotion keeps you invested through the entire book. The narration is superb and the story is enthralling.

That was a wild ride!

So much unexpected depth and development.z far beyond any standard HaremLit novel. This series is going to be amazing.
