Before he even crosses the city limits, Antoine is run off the road by a wild goat, and he’s forced to accept a rescue by a wary man who makes it very clear that Antoine’s presence in Cherry Creek is not welcome.

And what’s worse, the ridiculously attractive, absolutely infuriating fire chief seems to be at the center of every single one of his disasters that happens after - and unfortunately there are many. All Antoine wants is to do his job and go home, but Cherry Creek seems to have it in for him, and Edmund Fitzgerald seems thrilled to watch him fall apart. It might be real hatred, or it might just be pigtail pulling, but Antoine isn’t sure which, and he’s not really sure he wants to know. After all, a place like Cherry Creek will never be his home.

Fitz has never found someone worth fighting for, and Antoine has never found a reason to stay, but they know that looking at each other leaves them absolutely breathless. Will that be enough to make a relationship work, or will they decide that their love isn’t worth the fight?

Love Him Breathless is the second book in the series On the Market. It contains no cheating and a happily ever after.

Enjoyable

This was a heart warming and breaking all in one. I enjoyed the storyline it was interesting and keeps you guessing what’s going to happen next. The characters Fitz and Antoine are both strong independent characters and blend well together by the end of the story. Great addition to the series. The narration was good.

Love this series!

OMG! A-freaking-mazing!! I absolutely adore this series and this audio did not disappoint! I loved every minute and will be listening to this again and again!!

Powerful

This was an emotionalally powerful story. The only other book I have experienced by this author is the 1st one in this series and it was equally so. A beautiful story of 2 broken men trying to figure out how to heal and to love. This was amazing! And Nick Hudson is quickly becoming a new favorite narrator of mine. He does great characterization and his delivery is spot on. His rendition of a drunk Antoine had me laughing out loud. Highly recommend this one!

Amazing listen!

This is such an amazing addition to this world. I love Fitz and Antoine. This is such a great enemies to lovers story. It is great to see how these two relationships develops. Then Nick Hudson does an amazing job with this narration. I was pulled into this story and I couldn't stop listening. I absolutely love this one!

Antoine and Fitz

Though I really enjoyed this story as a whole, there were times I didn’t feel the connection between Antoine and Fitz. I also have a few unanswered questions. I did like the characters in this story and how everyone genuinely seemed to care for each other. All I know is if I were Antoine I would have be pressing charges left and right. He's a much nicer person then I am.

I did have a good laugh regarding Parker and his prosthetic.

As for the narration… WONDERFUL. Nick Hudson did a fabulous job with the characters voices, hitting the emotions at just the right moment, and setting a nice tone throughout the story. Hudson is definitely becoming a fast favorite of mine.

Perfection

I loved the book, and the audio was superb. This was my first Nick Hudson listen, and he did so well. As always, EM Lindsey has created a beautiful world with wonderfully real characters. And Nick Hudson did a great job bringing those characters to life.

Another great E.M. Lindsey read

Totally enjoyed this book; this writer’s work is about way more than gay sex, but about two regular men, who make love while falling into it. They have experienced life-threatening situations and come out on the other side swinging. The storyline around the MCs and their SCs is solid, the only thing I was left wondering about was the nephew of Finch. But I take it that will be dealt with in (one of the) next books in the series. I recommend E.M. Lindsey, as I have read or am in the process of reading all of her (audio)books. ❤️

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 A Heartfelt Delight!

E.M. Lindsey pens another wonderful novel in her “On the Market” series and I enjoyed every minute of it. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it straight to the end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, I adored the two leads Edmund “Fitz" Fitzgerald and Antoine Tremblay, the secondary characters are just as amazing too. Fitz grew up in Cherry Creek, he was severely burned when he was younger but with hard work and determination he overcame his injuries. He became a firefighter and worked himself up the ranks to become the town’s Fire Chief. Antoine Tremblay is good at what he does, he helps boost images for towns and resorts to bring in tourists. Cherry Creek is small town USA, they are struggling financially and need help, so they hire Antoine to put them on the map. But Antoine becomes jinxed just as he enters town he hits something and to further his luck even more he bonks heads with the Fire Chief who responded to his call for assistance. And that was not all, for some reason he becomes accident prone and his constant savior is Fitz, the Fire Chief. OMG, the chemistry between these two is electric and neither one picks up on it right away making for some awkward moments, some hilarious ones too. I loved how everything plays out in this great enemies to lovers romance, the story is beautifully plotted and there is never a dull moment. There is plenty of drama, angst, humor, heartfelt and emotional moments and a slow burn romance. E.M. Lindsey, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Nick Hudson is a talented narrator and a versatile voice artist. He continues to bring these characters and their story to life. He performs the voices for all the characters, gives each their own distinct voice which makes it easy to follow along and tell who is who. He does a fantastic job portraying each character, grasping their persona and playing the role with perfection. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

I Liked It

I liked the 2nd story set in Cherry Creek town filled with interesting characters and beautiful sites. I LOVED book 1 in the On The Market series and was very excited for this book. I was not disappointed, even though I enjoyed Love Him Free a lot more than this book, Fitz and Antoine's romance was a nice story with a touch of enemies to lovers development and some hot and steamy moments. In this story Antoine encountered many injury causing accidents where Fitz was the one to come to his rescue every time. I liked both Fitz and Antoine as well as enjoyed cameos from characters from first book. I felt that there are other books that I missed with love stories of these characters, but it didn't impact my enjoyment of the story. Narrator did a great job with voices & story, he is fast becoming one of my favorite narrators after his performance in both books in this series. Overall this was a good listening experience and I am looking forward to more stories set in Cherry Creek.

A wonderful story in the Cherry Creek universe.

Love Him Breathless is book 2 in the On The Market series. I really enjoyed this wonderfully written enemies to lovers story about Fitz, the Fire Chief in Cherry Creek, and Antoine, who comes to the small town for work to try to boost their tourism. From the beginning the town seems to want to kill Antoine has he has many accidents, but Fitz is always there to save him. Though Fitz doesn't want someone coming in to change his town he can't help but fall for Antoine. I really enjoyed getting more background about Antoine and his twin brother Marcel. (Marcel's book is Temptation book 2 in the Breaking the Rules series.) Even though Antoine and Fitz didn't like each other in the beginning there was so much chemistry between them. Their journey to love was a delight to watch. I love the end as Fitz follows his heart. I recommend this book.
Narrator Nick Hudson does a marvelous job in bringing these characters to life.
