The Freddy’s Bedtime Stories series are about a young boy Freddy who creates own stories to tell his little sister Rosie before her bedtime. Sometimes Freddy stops his narration to explain an unfamiliar word to Rosie, or to make a comment. This adds a nice interaction between the reader and the listener.
Freddy’s first story Lottie the Mouse in a Blue, Dotty Blouse’ became favorite with many children before it was published on Amazon.
A cute little mouse, fashionista and cheese lover, Lottie, runs out of cheese one day, and begins a cheese finding quest. She bravely travels far, fails twice, then eventually finds cheese. She cleverly overcomes the obstacles, then runs back home with a bag full of cheese, reversing the journey.
It’s a lovely story for listening with your young child at bedtime. The story has a rhythm, slight repetition, and a brave character who thinks on her feet, perseveres and brings the story to an happy ending.
