Joe Pickett is at it again!
Per usual, the characters in this story are well defined , well described and seem so very real. Box has created a whole new situation, but with some characters we know well and admire. They’re so believable! Action, excitement, humor - everything needed to catch and keep the reader’s interest. I’d recommend this book to those who enjoy the well told story of a master storyteller!

Suspenseful twists and turns.
Another great book in the Joe Pickett book series by CJ Box. Love this series!! Several times the suspense built up I had to stop and let some of my anxiety pass. I really had no clue where the storyline would go. So great that it wasn’t predictable. Love this one!

The author set up a series of circumstances that propels the novel and comes together an exciting conclusion that leaves me wanting to hear more Joe Pickrtt adventures.

An interesting story , with good pace and some interesting twists. Joe is a very likable character. Narration okay but female voices are weak. Also, I found the narration somewhat slow, so I speeded it up.

Love Those Game Wardens! And, of course, Nate.
As expected could not stop listening. Reader was awesome. Favorite part is when Nat and the sheriff have a "conversation" in the jail cell.
