Good Short story lousy narration

I am a big fan of H. Rider Haggard and his Alan Quartermaine stories. Right off the bat, this is a short story in which Alan Quartermaine recalls a lion hunt that he went on many years before the happenings of King Solomon‘s Mines. Though short, it is an interesting story. However, the narrator of this particular audio book was terrible. She has a strange way of speaking where the end of every word trails on longer than it should, and tells the story with no personality. I would recommend the story, but not this narrator.
