An enjoyable, spicy, intriguing and fun series. Each story had me captivated throughout and left with a smile on my face. I enjoyed each story. Marie James is a wonderful story teller. Loved this series.

Enjoyable

The voices sound older and out of place for the characters, very irritating to listen to.

Excellent story line the voices do not match the characters.

The plot of all 3 books is that the h and H aren’t honest with each other. Like ridiculous levels of emotional immaturity. I love other Marie James books so I kept reading. But I started skipping 5 chapters at a time and nothing had happened. The h and H were still having the same endless inner monologues about how the other person doesn’t understand what they feel (because they’ve never said anything). The narrators had great voices but the women were all petulant and whiney and stubborn in an emotionally immature way - and that wasn’t all because of the writing. The narrator could have made it sound like the women were teasing or playing instead of being bratty.

Author is great but not these books

If you love stories where the characters never communicate about what the other one is thinking and feeling, repeat their false assumptions over and over like a hamster in a hamster’s wheel for 35 chapters, then these are the books for you. I could have listened to only the first chapter and the last chapter of each book, and it still would’ve been torture. In full disclosure, the 3rd book was the best - but not a high benchmark as the 2nd book was so bad.

Repetitive Assumptions
