Another masterpiece!

I adore these two (I’m not only talking about the main characters, but about wonderful ladies who wrote this book). The story was heartfelt, sexy and laugh out loud hilarious. Can’t wait for the next one!

Great story, highly recommend

I'm a sucker for small town romances and in a town called Licking Thicket, whose mayor is Red Johnson there's no end to the puns. The Licking Thicket series makes me laugh so hard my sides hurt and had moments that makes me cry from joy. These qwerky characters make me want to keep coming back for more!

Unpredictable

A romantic, unpredictable love story that focused on how love and family comes in a variety of forms!

If You Only Read 1 Book This Year, Read This 1!

One of the best books I've read! When Lucy and May team up, great thing happen! Michael does a perfect job of narrating, as usual. A must read!

Really enjoyed this story. Parrish and Diesel made a really cute couple. They played perfect off each other. I do so enjoy stories by May and Lucy. Michael is one of my favorite narrator to boot.

A fun read.

I love that this book is full of southern fun sayings. As a proud southern lady I smile do big listening to this story. These two men are going to bring a smile to your face as they explore their new relationship. But that sweet baby is just going to steal your heart. I highly recommend this book and I hope you all enjoy the southern way of life as its described.

Engaging and Entertaining

I loved this story. I’m a sucker for fake relationships turned real and I really enjoyed Diesel and Parrish’s instant attraction and the progression of their relationship. I also laughed out loud quite a bit during this book. All the side characters were fun too and I really enjoyed this zany town. Narration was great as usual from Michael Dean. I will certainly check out some of the rest of this series.

Fun, happy read

There is so much going on in the Thicket! Diesel and Parrish’s story is a bit kooky, sappy, whimsical and full of ‘small town good’. Both characters grow both personally and together as a couple. Throw in feisty chickens, a town full of completely memorable friends, a sweet baby girl and a super secret surprise ending and you’ve got the makings of a ten hour getaway to a story as comfortable as down home cooking and your best pair of weekend pants!

DELICIOUS 2ND. INSTALLMENT!!!

This was my second listen through, and it was better than the first. Michael Dean is an absolute favorite of mine; deep, rich, sexy voice brings all characters to hilarious life. Life in Licking Thicket grows sweeter & more connected, skillfully drawing together other needy souls by the talented authors.

Parrish & Diesel's rushed relationship finally has the chance to mature in, and we're the lucky ones who get to laugh and sigh along with Marigold & Company. Beautiful!
The various levels of the men's passionate intimacy is perfectly relayed by Michael Dean's perfectly passionate voice!!!

On to relisten to (officially) book #3, "Fools." Get ready to laugh like crazy, and swoon as the MC's develop their rich, longterm friendship into a hard won loving, committed relationship.
