E. J. Noyes is an Australian transplanted to New Zealand, which may be the awesomest thing to happen to her. She lives in the South Island with her wife and the world’s best and neediest cat, and is enjoying the change of temperature from her hot, humid homeland.

Abby Craden originates from New York but after many years on the West Coast she calls Los Angeles home. She has been performing and storytelling in all of its various forms for more than 25 years. She has recorded over 400 audiobooks, winning two Earphones Awards, and was named "One of the Best Voices of 2012" by AudioFile Magazine. Her voice can be heard in national commercials, animation, video games, and many TV shows and films. Talk about a cliffhanger at the end! This was even better than the first story. I hope Sophia comes back in the sequel. There will be a sequel soon right? Please don’t leave us hanging!

This was an excellent series, so far! Living on the edge from start to finish. Abby Craden was a wonderful narrator !

While they president ships Lexi into a hostile zone in hopes she will be killed, Sophia is being lied to, which causes a breakup and heartbreak. But the love they have for each other will not go away. Will the soul mates be able to get past everything that happened?

Ugh the ending. Geez. Noyes has never let me down, but I am seriously going to need some answers. I was stuck first on: Oh no. Why? Then: oh my gosh, what? Why? It was a lot. But yet...so so good. Then the last 30 seconds, I am eating a pizza and stopped chewing. It was that shocking.

Awesome second book in this series. Can’t wait far the next one. Lexie Martin is back to work after her exposing the secret the President wanted to cover up. Now she is in the cross hairs and has been sent back to the country where her worst nightmare took place. A twisted story of the evil of men and the heroic men and women who protect our nation. Awesome narration.

I really love the story and the anticipation of Sophia and Lexi’s relationship. I keep hoping they get back together. Lots of twists about halcyon. Riveting. On to book 3.

This was a fun one. I think I was slightly less invested than I was in book one, and I had been hoping to get into Sophia’s pov, but alas, we do not. And now after this one, I want to get into her head more than ever. EJ Noyes didn’t initially click for me, and there have been some of hers that are fine, not favs, but the ones that are favs are FAVS and I rlly love how creative she is—she changes up the plot and settings around her romances so much. It’s a real great time. I def am very invested in this series, and can’t wait for book 3. Abby Craden was a stellar narrator as always.

Fun sequel, def ready for book 3!

Love the characters, story lines of the Halcyon series, made all the better bc I have a huge crush on Abby Craden's voice. I'm going to assume that there is more to come bc talk about leaving listeners hanging! 🤬🤬🤬

There had better be a 3rd book in this series w/ a happy ending!
