Book was well done. Starts off a little slow but you get to really understand who Dallas is as a person. Love the blend and story. The narrorator did a great job as well. Looking forward to the next book as Dallas continues his journey.

Not what I would expect from post apocalyptical LitRPG. It kind of felt like they decided to play Lord of the Flies at Hogwarts. Definitely gets points for originality and and entertaining story. The narration was very well done.

First and foremost, this wasn't a bad book. The reasons for my review title are these:

1. The title and cover are misleading to "ME" as a reader/listener. LITRPG to me is stats and leveling and gains and boosting ones attribute's. This book has the most minimal approach to that idea IO have ever seen from a LITRPG. For some that may be great. For me, with the words "Level Up" in the title I expected more leveling. I think the MC levels up 2 maybe 3 times that I can understand throughout the book.

2. The MC is a coward until the end when he's finally pushed over the edge. The cover lead me to believes awesome fights would be happening. Instead the MC runs from most of his fights, unless he's cornered or forced to act.

3. This book reminds me a lot of "The Lord of The Flies". However, while there was action, fighting and suspense; it seemed more like the supporting characters were the main characters, when the MC should have been doing something more heroic I guess.

This may have been what the author was going for and I do think it will find it's audience. Unfortunately it just kind of fell flat more or less for me. These are my thoughts and opinions after being provided a code for an honest review and that is what I have given. However, please read other reviews, listen to the audio sample or read the sample text for this story and decide for yourself if it is something you are interested in.

Harry Frost is a phenomenal narrator and gave a great narration performance throughout this entire book.

It could have been better

I received a free code in exchange for an honest review. RGP has been putting out a lot of high quality books lately. I couldn't resist grabbing a bunch. This one seemed safe for work, and the premise sounded right up my alley.

Win win

Pretty light on the stats but the world building is pretty good. The story has some promise for sure. I think it can evolve into something worthwhile

the narration is fantastic and adds a lot to the story and the characters

The start of with I did enjoy this book, it has some interesting aspects to it. The narrator did a good job. The story does start out slow but it does get there. The only real issue I have is with the MC, they just seem to out of touch at times. I know they are a teenager but sometimes the act like they are 7 or 8 years old. However I will be looking forward to the second book.

Interesting story

I finished it and can't go on with the series. Has Nice highlights but the plot is so close to Enders Game with a very weak litrpg vibe.
