About this listen
Nitzevet (called "Bet" by those who love her most) is filled with hope and optimism as she eagerly anticipates her marriage to the most upstanding man in Bethlehem. Her happiness is short-lived as she faces daunting obstacles that threaten to unravel her dreams.
The man Bet adores begins to question his true heritage as an Israelite. Uncertainty casts a dark shadow over their union, causing it to fracture and teeter on the edge of disaster. Driven by her unwavering faith, Bet defies all conventions as she embarks on a daring mission to fulfill the divine will of the Almighty.
Though accused of adultery, Bet valiantly proclaims her innocence, braving insurmountable odds to overcome each hurdle that confronts her. Balancing her duty as a devoted wife with her loyalty toward her son, she navigates the treacherous path of servitude within her husband's household. Drawing upon her resilience, she raises her child virtually as a single mother, preparing this shepherd boy for his destiny to greatness.
From the pen of an acclaimed author comes a captivating novel that will leave an indelible mark upon your heart. Join Bet on her extraordinary journey, as she defies rebuke and rejection. In this mesmerizing tale, the fate of Bet's family as well as her people Israel hangs precariously in the balance.
Legacy unfurls with twists and turns, gripping you until the very last page. This unforgettable story is a must-read for fans of the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers or fans of The Chosen video series.
Will Bet triumph in securing her family's enduring legacy?

Way too many “creative liberties”
While I understand the idea behind a historical “fiction” novel, there comes a point where the fiction can become overwhelming and construes the nature of the history. In my humble opinion, this book could have been labeled strictly fiction and not held to the pretense of being a historical fiction seeing as how so much of the history was misrepresented.
