This book offers an introductory language course for visitors to Uruguay, preparing you with core Spanish words and phrases, but also with the nuances of Uruguayan Spanish so you can understand the local language and customs. This audiobook offers a complete Uruguayan Spanish course in 10 sections.

Story
The world's longest water-front promenade, the longest carnival lasting 40 nights, more art-deco architecture than any city besides New York, progressive politics, world-class music, and a unique cultural scene, 10 beaches, historic cafés, outstanding wines, and the tastiest beef. Montevideo, capital of Uruguay, South America's second smallest nation, has it all. With just one and a half million residents, Montevideo is small enough to get around on foot and the locals are extremely friendly, like you'd find in a small town.

Lingo spins the listener on a whirlwind tour of 60 European languages and dialects, sharing quirky moments from their histories and exploring their commonalities and differences. Most European languages are descended from a single ancestor, a language not unlike Sanskrit known as Proto-Indo-European (or PIE for short), but the continent's ever-changing borders and cultures have given rise to a linguistic and cultural diversity that is too often forgotten in discussions of Europe as a political entity.

Disappointed
I thought this would be URUGUAYAN Spanish, it was not. After listening to some of this I had to return it. I didn’t hear any of the Uruguayan accent and intonations it is known for. Very disappointed!!
