Vacation at sea us deadly

Larceny on the Lake is Book 4 in A Temp Job Cozy Mystery by K B Blake. I have found that each of the books in this series is outstanding with excellent narration by Amber Battagilia. I really enjoyed how the author gives Scarlette a temp job cooking for Austin, her boyfriend, and his friends on a boating vacation. Scarlette and Austin are growing closer while things go missing and a murder occurs. I thought the characters (Austin's friends) was well written and it gave me a look at his background. I thought K B Blake put so much into book 4. I can't wait to see Scarlette's next adventure!

Fourth should be Final

Laughable and unbelievable scenarios. Narrator has been a bore for all 4 books, and she doesn’t give characters any kind of personality.

Vacation at the lake turns deadly

Scarlett Chase and her friends plan to spend their vacation on a houseboat in Larceny at the Lake (#4 Temp Jobs Mystery series) by KB Blake. A seemingly helpless woman appears in a boat in the night and all kinds of bad things happen. Various items get stolen and someone is playing malicious tricks. It gets worse when a dead man is found in a hidden cove and turns out that he was not a stranger! Who is the dangerous thief and murderer? I enjoy the characters’ growth and development over the series. The narration by Amber Battaglia is great! She creates voices for all the characters and brings the story to life.

A fun vacation cozy mystery

Larceny On The Lake is a fun vacation cozy mystery to keep you guessing! The characters and friendships are what make this book and series so enjoyable! Scarlett is doing Temp Jobs for the time being until something better comes along. In this book, Scarlett, her boyfriend Austin, her brother Daniel, Hannah from the last book, and some of their friends go on vacation on a houseboat. To pay her way, Scarlett plans, shops and cooks the meals. They find a stranger dead but it turns out most of the friends knew who he was. There might be a killer among them. We get to know more about Austin which adds to the storyline. The audiobook narrated by Amber Battaglia is very well done and the voices fit the characters. It is easy to get lost in the story! Pretty Good

Larceny on the Lake is an entertaining, cozy mystery, but the pace is slow in some parts, and it takes the characters a while to figure out what should be obvious. However, I'm still interested in the characters and what happens to them next.

This vacation isn't all fun and games

The fourth book in K. B. Blake's Temp Job Mysteries series takes Scarlett out of the city and onto the water. There are a lot more characters in this one, and I love the way Scarlett's circle of friends is expanding. I also love that her brother is part of that circle. The setting for this one is Lake Powell, and even though I've only been there once it was easy to picture the beauty from Ms. Blake's description. The narrator, Amber Battaglia, does a fabulous job of bringing the characters to life, and the voices for each character are a window into who they are. She makes it very easy to slip into the story and leave the real world behind. There were a lot of moving parts to this mystery, and so many suspects, and I kept flip-flopping between who the culprit was. There's a nice blend of relationship building, mystery, and fun and everything comes together at the end. I can't wait for the next adventure.
