beautiful

I loved reading this story and listening to it was so much more. The narrators tell the story beautifully and I thank them for being the words to life.

Hard to listen to

The story was fine. Not my favorite Penny Reid book, but it was pretty clever and entertaining. That said, it was very difficult to listen to. It sounded like the F. Fischer had gum in her mouth. Both readers were pretty flat and the delivery just didn't suit the characters.

Narration let me down

While I love the topic, flow, banter and writing style, the narration was not the best. His was better than hers. It is distracting when words are mis-pronounced.

Enjoyable word play

I enjoyed this ook and performance. I liked the dialogue between the two characters. Acknowledging the insecure and often crazy ways humans see themselves.

ok

LOVE Penny Reid! I loved the Knitting in the City series & really loved the Winston Brothers series. I even enjoyed the Hypothesis series. This book...not so much. And the fact that I did not like Stephen Dexter's female voice did not help - thankfully he only read a few chapters. There were a few funny sentences in the book. Anna was a little quirky & blurted out funny things but I couldn't find much like for Luca. Even though he drove a motorcycle & wore leather, he was in no way shape or form a "badass". oh well, cant win them all, and I still love Penny Reid.

i needed a bit more

This story needed a bit more time to tell me about his life, how she will fit into it, and vice-versa. It just seemed to end prematurely. Otherwise I loved it.

Entertaining fresh read!

Loved this book! It was funny, romantic and at times some profound messages about life and love! In my opinion anything narrated by Jacob Morgan is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s!

Eh

The story wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. Choice of female narrator was unfortunate. People of different races have different sounding voices, which has nothing to do with grammar. The book (narration) definitely should not be judged by its cover as it does not mesh.

Good story

The narrators did a good job. The premise of the story was good. The story had some fun dialog, but I did not really connect with the characters. Anna came across as immature, which she recognized at times, and this made Luca sort of a creepy older professor. When Anna came across as a college student close to graduation with a bit more focus and maturity, the attraction made sense. Overall, it's a good book .
