I enjoyed this series very much. I appreciate all books in audio, as I can no longer read.

starts out with way too much verbal porn

so. I hated the first chapters because it was all basically verbal porn. I don't read for that, so if you do, this book may be ok.
what I will say is that 1/2 to 3/4 ( I FF'ed a LOT) of the book, it actually gets GOOD...action, adventure, a little of the "can I live with him or without them" and a great ending. strategic, suspenseful, and a good ending. I just hated that they spent so much time up front of the book with useless sex and didn't really get to something tangible. The cover implies its gritty and action packed with a hint of romance. it's really a harlequin with a little action thrown in. not a bad book, just not what I expected from the summary and title.

Final Notes... Once the h gets a bit past her fear, the story takes off. I liked it better than the first book.

Best duo of narrators

I just love these two narrators. Sandra is a solid writer that has you laughing, crying and on the edge of you seat all at the same time. I look forward to the next one in the series.

Great book.

This is another great book in a great series by Sandra Owens. There’s a lot of action too. Sebastian York and Amy McFadden both do a wonderful job narrating. I listened at 1.25 speed and it was perfectly fine as well.

Awesome hero and heroine!

This second audiobook in the Aces and Eights series was so far my favorite. The heroine and hero meet on Spring Break, but when they part she tells him it's over and breaks his heart. What he never knew was that she was brutally beaten by her ex-husband because she refused to tell him where she had been and who she had been with, while threatening to kill the man she'd spent time with. Years pass with her ex in prison, but news comes that he is nearing parole. At the same time her path crosses with the hero again, who is an FBI agent along with his 2 brothers. The truth comes out and now the fight to protect her is on. Excellent narration and looking forward to the next story in the series!

Another great book from Sandra Owens

This series is very enjoyable and I can't wait for Nate's story. Great job, Sandra!

I enjoyed this book every bit as much as the first one in the series!! can't wait for the next one! the performers of the audio version are absolutely wonderful! they read the book exactly as I would read it in my mind. it's the best way to spend driving in my car. the book was full of great characters, great suspense and great love. can't wait for more!!
