An overview of every Jaws project up to 2009

I enjoyed this book! I was unaware of the numerous sequels made after the original movie of 1975 and had not seen any of them past Jaws 2. I enjoyed all the production information as well as the storylines of all productions that spawned from the original. I had not heard the reader before and thought he was very good in this book. Overall a nostalgic trip for me too as I was 18 when Jaws came out and my family owned a movie theater at that time, and I remember the Jaws histeria that occurred from it. And I liked the movie!

Maybe the greatest movie of all time

What a great companion piece to this truly timeless film. I saw this movie in the theater when I was 3 and it had such an impact on me. I feel in love with sharks and scary stories.

I love hearing the behind the scenes stories and anecdotes.

My gripe - the narrator is just burning through it. He should slow down and enjoy the ride. One chapter ends and he goes immediately into the next, continuing the readying by burning through the chapter titles and moving on.

If you love the movie buy this.

I was very pleased with author and narrator. Basically went from A to Z how the Jaws movie came
about. I personally have seen a couple documentaries that were better but this was good
in book form.

A Fan’s Tribute to the Series

I listened to the audiobook version. This was a fun and fond look back at the film Jaws and it’s sequels. The author was clearly a fan and did a great amount of research. The inside tips and stories from cast and crew make this stand out. It really gives you a sense of being on Amity with the cast and crew. It is fun to listen to this while watching Sharkfest on National Geographic and Shark Week on Discovery. Jaws is the film that started the major interest in sharks. The original is a classic. Very informative and entertaining.

If you loved Jaws, you’ll love this insider’s view!

I’ve probably seen Jaws 100 times in the last 40+ years. This book gives a different view and a lot of information.

Fun and Nostalgic

I was 15 when Jaws came out. I was crazy about that movie! I still love it and watch it when it comes on. This was great fun to listen to and brought back fun memories. Always love behind the scenes kinds of books. This didn't disappoint. The narrator did a great job. Especially doing Robert Shaw's lines.

What are you? Some kind of half-assed astronaut?

Enjoyable overview of the "Jaws" series, as it devolved from magical to comical, from classic to cringe-worthy, from Oscar gold to worse than a bucket of left over chum.

Anyone truly an expert on "Jaws" will find numerous factual errors in this book. Some of the quoted dialogue is wrong, Cassidy is not Chrissie Watkins' boyfriend ("What's your name again?") The timeline of Spielberg films is wrong, as is the title of one of his many "Indiana Jones" films.

That being said, anyone with a fondness for "Jaws", like myself, will enjoy hearing stories about the productions, and some of the quotes from interviews are really funny.

Recommended.

This is great fun for the JAWS fan. I really...

I really enjoyed listening to this. My 1st time watching JAWS was in 1983, I was 3 years old. I've loved the movie ever since. Jaws is by far the best, but Jaws 2 is pretty good. The others I've seen several times, but have not payed much attention to them in adulthood. The 1st Jaws will always have a special place on my heart.

Informing....

The narrator spoke to fast. Enjoyed the information nd facts that I was able to catch however. Story kind of skips around a lot.
