Acerca de esta escucha

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kylie Scott comes a story in her Stage Dive series…

When the Stage Dive crew decides to help, they do it in a big way.

Nanny and housekeeper Jude has been going through a dry patch. Getting ready to dip her toes back into the dating pool is a little nerve racking. And the offers of assistance from her boss, David Ferris, and his band are not helping. Right up until music producer Dean Jennings arrives to work on the band's latest album.

But Dean is more than a little wary of dating anyone with anything to do with the Stage Dive crew after losing Lena to lead singer Jimmy Ferris all those years ago. Can Jude a) Convince the crew to stay out of her business and b) Woo the man of her dreams?

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

Featured Article: The top 100 series of all time

The feeling of discovering that your favorite new listen is actually the start of a series is euphoric. That you can immediately hit play and re-enter a beloved new world, or love story, or era from history is a gift to the devoted listener. But how to pick just 100 of these unique and immersive listening journeys? We defined a series as having a minimum of three books, and—after some debate—we decided the titles had to be anchored in fiction. From YA to horror to historical fiction, from fresh voices to seminal tales, hours of discovery await.

Jude and Dean are a great couple and Just What I Needed gives Divers an excuse to jump back into the Stage Dive world. Jude, what a great name for a female lead! She’s not a morning person, so she & I are kindred spirits, and she has a crush I found entertaining. The table scene with Jimmy and Lena is comical and only the Stage Dive crew would cook up Jude’s immersion therapy experiment! Reading (or re-reading) any of The Stage Dive Series by Kylie Scott feels like catching up with old friends. If you haven’t already read the series and want to know how Jude came to work for Ev and Dave? Read The Rhythm Method: A Stage Dive Novella. Want to read all about when Lena dated Dean (ancient history in the time frame of Just What I Needed)? Then check out Lead, Book 3 of The Stage Dive Series. But if you’re going to read those two, then do yourself a solid and just start at the beginning with Lick, Book 1 of The Stage Dive Series. You won’t be disappointed!

The Stage Dive guys, starting with Dave, decide to do a little matchmaking for his nanny, Jude. It just so happens that Dean Jennings has had noted success and is coming to produce their next album. And he’s single.
Arndt does a good job of narrating.

Always a pleasure catching up with the Stage Dive gang. I never get enough of their world. Also, great reading about a new love story. Dean and Jude were sizzling together, it all happened pretty quickly. I wasn't ready to say goodbye. So glad Dean found happiness and Jude is easy to love, she's amazing. Andi Arndt is perfection as always. Quick read, hopefully, we see more of this world again soon. 5 stars, because this is my favorite author and she can do no wrong in my eyes. 🖤

Love catching up with the crew!

As usual the Stage Dive books never fail. Wish this one was a little longer!

As usual the characters and dialog keep me smiling as I read (or listened). I've enjoyed all of the books in the series and was happy to find another book/novella in the Stage Dive world. More please.

Ok I wanted to love this book don’t get me wrong I really enjoyed both Jude and Dean because hello DEAN!

I like the chemistry, the characters all of it but the timeline just did not work for me at all.

It was too quick. Now others in the 1001 dark nights in the stage dive worked, the timeline didn’t feel like a blink.

I mean we get to see all our favourite people for sure, but the Jude & Dean romance the swoon it just wasn’t there for this one.

And the narrator either needs to go back and listen to how she did the voices for the other characters she did because Mal & Anne didn’t sound like Mal or Anne, or even Jimmy or Leana.

I like that she writes about mature adults characters where at least one of them can communicate in a healthy way. But then it doesn't feel like there’s much climax to the story. I like the characters; however, sometimes it seems like there’s no there because there’s not much angst.

I also think I would have liked this as a long story. I felt like we reverted to the Stage Dive Crew and our couple got a bit lost.

I will continue to read Kylie and suggest her to friends.

I enjoy Kylie’s writing.
