About this listen

Blood on the range

Smoke Jensen couldn't have cared less that a range war had erupted in Montana. But his cousin Fae was stuck right in the middle of a hundred-gun showdown that was about to explode in bullets and blood.

When Smoke strapped on his Colts and went to Fae's aid, he knew the deck was stacked against him. Even when he was joined by four old friends, it looked like it was going to be his final stand. But if anyone could buck the odds, it was Smoke Jensen, the last mountain man.

Contains mature themes.

the narrator's voice.

great story. I've actually read all the books. The best narration I've listened to in a long time. reminds me of Sam elliot.

Another good one!

I love this series of books. They incorporate history and bring you back to simpler times. Hard living but you can appreciate the way of life they had to live.

Really A Great Listen. Smoke Jensen is the Man! So Are the Johnstone’s for Some More Great Writing.

Just like all their other Westerns, this book is filled with everything cowboy and gunfighter I want from a story. There’s a bit more adult content than some of the other books in this series, so I’d say this book is appropriate for older teens and above. Specifically, torture details and rape scenes. Of course there are LOTS of shooting details and graphic fight scenes, but the Johnstone’s tend to be judicious with those details. They write just enough to keep the story flowing.
The narration is excellent. I feel like I’m there without having to live in all the discomfort of living in those times. Lots and lots of fun and entertainment. Plus a smidge of good values.

Good read

Smoke proves himself both as a death-dealer and a grace giver as usual. Great read
