Publisher's summary

Cold, fine drops of rain fall softly on Evie's cheeks as she emerges from the darkness of the ship's interior to the gray, overcast sky of the main deck. Pulling her dark peacoat tighter to her body, the wind lifts red tendrils of her hair. She walks slowly to the railing overlooking the water. She catches her first sight of the Irish coastline; its craggy landscape makes her shiver in dread. She finds it difficult to imagine now how the Gancanagh had made this their home for so long without anyone realizing it. The cold, moss-covered edifices practically scream their presence. As she studies the shadows between the falling-down stone, she imagines creeping shapes of undead Faeries grasping the rock, waiting for their ship to draw nearer to their position. Tipping her face up, she lets the rain wash over her. It bathes away the frigid sweat of fear that has broken on her brow. "You don't know how fiercely beautiful you are, do you?" a quiet voice behind her asks, causing her to stiffen and fix her eyes on the rocks along the shoreline.

Fantastic narrator!

The narrator performs no less than 10 voices with different inflection allowing each character to come to life. The writing is just as flawless and enchanting as the other books in this series. I'm very impressed with the storyline and it's complicated plot lines.

Premonition

Fantastic series all around. The narration is great except for Zephyr's voice. It sounds nasal and doesn't fit the mental picture of Z that I have.

Love, love, love the series

Where does Incendiary rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The top

What about Emily Woo Zeller’s performance did you like?

She's great at different voices, even mens. The only thing that really bothers me about her narration is when Evie is cold and has chattering teeth. I can't stand the way that sounds and have to fast forward it because it's annoying sounding.

Any additional comments?

If you have been following the series, you probably know what to expect by now. it will not disappoint. Many other books that come in series start to fall apart after a few books, but this one is still very good. Now if she will only put out the next book! Can't wait for more of Reed.

Heart-rending

Just when I think this series has rattled me in every way it can, this author finds a dozen more ways to make my heart stop. I simply cannot overstate how much this series has gotten under my skin. I started out reading a simple paranormal romance...I thought. As the story progressed, it has developed so many layers of complexity and truisms that I find myself overwhelmed by the beauty and intensity expressed in this work. This goes way beyond a simple paranormal story into the realms of modern day myth.

I simply can't imagine how all this will end, but I'm sure of two things: I'm confident it will be a brilliant ending, and for the first time I can remember I am already plotting a re-read of a series before I'm even finished with it!

Got to love Angels!

This book seemed to drag more than the others in the series. The drag started after Evie met her father. It did pick up a little toward the end. Narrator is great! I get Evie's character but she did a lot of whining. I wanted her to get a backbone, and just go after her man. I mean Reed is definitely worth it to her.

love it

I found this series last month and it's the best I have ever heard( well beside anything by mark tufo.) I might have change something about it. but i have enjoyed it so much that this is the third time I've listened to the complete series. Emily woo zeller did a wonderful job. love all the different voices for the characters. I hope that Amy a barrel finds a way to keep it going, and not have it go down the drain.

We hear Reed's POV!

Would you consider the audio edition of Incendiary to be better than the print version?

The narration brings the book to life.Emily Woo Zellar has voices/accents for every character.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Too many! Zee if I had to pick just one.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Reed's POV.

Any additional comments?

Incendiary is the fourth book in the Premonition Series by Amy A. Bartol. It is YA urban fantasy/paranormal book told from Evie, Russell, and Reed’s POV. Books must be read in order to understand the plot.

If you are familiar with Mrs. Bartol’s books, you know how her books are much more than words on a page. You know that they are poetry, written with a detail that is like no other author out there. They take you to an imaginary world so rich, you forget where you are. They become your friends and live within side of you.

Incendiary picks up shortly after Indebted ends. Evie, Reed, Zee, Buns, Russell, and Brownie are regrouping on a tropical island in the South Pacific. They know that Brennus is going to come for Evie and the Dominion are after Russell. Evie’s father, Tau, who’s a Seraph, shows up at the Dominion looking for her along with two other Seraphim, Cole Martin and Xavier Reece. We also meet a “wickeddamnsexy” Throne named Anya. Everyone is fighting for/to control Evie. This time she realizes that she is going to have to fight/kill for her love of Reed and her friends.

Incendiary is full of action. Bartol writes some of the best action sequences in books. Her descriptions are so engrossing, it’s as if your almost there. Of course her book is balanced with humor, tension, and romance. This time we have one chapter of Reed’s POV. I FLOVE this chapter. You always hear his perfect words he says to Evie, but to be in his head is incredible.

This book is my favorite in the Premonition Series. Some of the scenes with Evie and Tau, and Evie and Reed were perfection. I was loving the scenes with Russell and Anya. You see the brilliant mind in Ms. Bartol with the foreshadowing from book one in Incendiary. I read about 4-5 books per week. Sometimes I read so much; I need to clear my head. I need a book that has all the feels and that is comfortable like coming home. That’s the Premonition Series for me.
