Acerca de esta escucha
Impulsive ADHD is defined as a pattern of behavior that is characterized by chronic problems with impulsivity. People with impulsive ADHD have trouble waiting their turn, acting without thinking, and interrupting others. They also typically have difficulty controlling their emotions and sustaining their attention. Some common examples of impulsive behaviors for adults with ADHD include:
- Lack of self-control at checkout counters, including buying everything in sight
- Struggling to stay on an important task after being suddenly struck with a brilliant idea
- Making big, sometimes even life-changing, decisions without thinking them through
- Blurting out inappropriate, ill-timed, or even hurtful things in conversation
Some impulsive choices might include things such as risky sexual behaviors, overspending, substance abuse, or overindulging with food and drinks. Many people assume those with impulsive ADHD are simply being rude or chaotic. However, the truth is that people with impulsivity do not have a moral failing or lack of caring. Rather, impulsivity is caused by differences in your brain, as you will see when you hear this book.
In Impulsive ADHD: 97 Hacks to Manage Impulsiveness we are going to look at the following topics:
- 37 Hacks to Maximize Your Strengths
- 13 Hacks to Manage Impulsivity
- 19 Self-Help Hacks to Improve Impulsivity
- 23 Hacks to Improve Impulsive Spending
- 5 Hacks to Control Impulsive ADHD
If you have struggles controlling your impulses, especially with impulsive shopping or spending, then this is the book for you. Scroll up and click "Buy Now" to get your copy today!

How can you as a partner, parent, or friend better understand your neurodivergent loved one’s way of moving through the world? In Dirty Laundry, life partners Rich Pink and Rox Emery unapologetically guide you through the ups and downs of life with ADHD. Every chapter starts with a common symptom of ADHD, like impulsivity or struggles with finances, and an earnest moment from their own lives to show you how they navigate the symptom together.

Time blindness is defined as the inability to accurately sense the passing of time. It is important to note that rather than an intentional disregard for time, time blindness is a sensory issue that can cause nearly every aspect of your life to be more difficult than someone who has a good sense of the passage of time.

Now, most people have heard of ADHD and know someone who may have it. But lost in the discussion of both childhood and adult diagnosis of ADHD is the potential upside: Many hugely successful entrepreneurs and highly creative people attribute their achievements to ADHD. Also unknown to most are the recent research developments, including innovations that give a clearer understanding of the ADHD brain in action.

The ADHD brain comes with some unique challenges, and until we recognize what they are, they will keep getting in our way. Starting new things, stopping others, concentrating, studying, getting stuff done, paying the bills, and getting on with life just seems so much harder for you than for others. That’s because it actually is, and it is time we faced up to this. ADHD brains are not wrong, weak, or broken–just different. And because the world is set up for neurotypical people, those with ADHD struggle to fit in with these systems which are not matched to them or their needs at all.

This doesn’t have to be a bad thing, though. You can train your subconscious mind to operate differently. Through a change of your small daily habits, you can change your entire life for the better.

For many people, procrastination is a daily vice that prevents them from doing really important and urgent tasks when there is no outside pressure. Postponement can become a problem not only in daily private activities, but especially in professional life. Psychologists go as far as to describe procrastination as a disruption of self-regulation, since the procrastinator cannot endure anything unpleasant in the short term to achieve something positive in the long term.

Impulsive doesn’t just mean running around in circles
Such a great book. As an educator I thought impulsive was a behavior.. well I consider it an action… I’m impulsively spending money, I’m impulsively being sarcastic… and that it OK….. ADHD is not who I am … sometimes it’s what I do and sometimes what I don’t do.
