Book 2 of the Born to Be series, Idi & the Talisman of Talia continues exactly where book 1 finishes.
Idi is about to discover his real name and Marcus continues to educate him, both in magic and self-confidence. All our loved characters are back, including the three witch clans, the Oracles, Absalom and Cassandra. Introduced for the first time is the adorable Goblin Fart Platoon, with Celestine and Bert leading them on their mission.

As Cassandra goes on the hunt for her missing son, we also follow Katrina’s coming of age, but time is running out and there is a war brewing.
This is the second installment in the Born to Be series and as we follow the characters discovering whom they were each born to be, the lessons on self-discovery will stay with you. I highly recommend this uplifting series to any lover of epic fantasy stories.

Stevin White is a really talented narrator. I'm one of those listener's that love it when narrators have particular voices and/or accents for different characters. I think the voices and accents that White uses pair so well with YA books and are an amazing match to the Born to Be series. His feminine voices are extremely well done. This is a pet peeve of mine as sometimes male narrators use a voice-straining, falsetto for female characters. Female narrators sometimes do the opposite with their male voices. All that's needed is a change and the listener's brain picks up that change and regardless of gender realizes who's speaking. When a narrator's voice is straining to maintain a particular characteristic, it can jar a listener's attention away from the story and focus' that attention on the narrator. And not in a good way :) As a listener, I want to get transported into the story to the point I forget they I am being read to. White does this exceptionally well.
I really recommend this series to any who love fantasy.
