it's okay

Christian & Serena: triggers- child abandonment, gambling, body image. this book was okay but very repetitive and extremely slow. I was expecting a little more. I think even some game time action would have boosted the books energy. the story is spicy but I wished the author would allow the so called antagonist to explain their reasoning behind the things they did. I loved that Serena's mom came through for her.

MUST LISTEN

There's laughter,a little sadness, smirk, sexy times, and so much more. Best one in a while and I listen to at less one book a day so that's alot coming from me. Looking for more from the author.

Good n Quirky

I didn’t think I would enjoy listening to this one, but it turned out pretty good. I’m learning to be a fan of Thor Tom. I do enjoy listening to him. Looking forward to another successful book.

Narrator puts you to sleep

I think I would like to listen to this story but the narrator is such a bad fit. It sounds like he’s sleepy. Each line is read in the same ethnic fashion. Starts high and ends low like he’s out of breath. He also narrates the female lead and you can barely hear her. Also, difficult to distinguish the multiple male characters apart. Lastly, wrong voice for a male athlete in my opinion.

I liked how Serena and Christian met, and the build of their relationship. They are both good people and their affair is hot and heavy. I like how they are both fierce competitors in their chosen field. They are both dedicated and passionate about what they do.

What I didn’t like was Christian making a decision for her without the discussion, although it does make for some good angst. Overall, I enjoyed their relationship and their story.

The narrators do a good job. A quick and easy listen.

not the best written series

so much pontificating, belaboring and self doubt, that it gets to be a slog. I had to skip quite a bit.

Disappointment

I was beyond disappointed in this book for so many reasons. The character development is lacking when reflecting on how the leads come together. And the issue of “body shaming,” is so overdone and misleading. How one takes care of self is most certainly a reflection of the individual. Ugh. I won’t be moving ahead with this series. The narrators seemed so robotic, lacking true vocal emotion. Do not waste a credit...read/listen for free if you have nothing else to do.
