Great Read
Ice Cream with a Side of Murder (Sabrina Carlson Cozy Mystery Book Five) was a great read by Meredith Potts. Sabrina tries to keep her emotions out of investigating murders but the latest murder is difficult for her to keep her feelings out of. She has a hard time focusing enough to bring the murderer to justice. I loved reading this book and can’t wait to read more by Meredith Potts.

Short, Entertaining Book
Ice Cream with a Side of Murder (Sabrina Carlson Cozy Mystery Book Five) by Meredith Potts is a quick and enjoyable audiobook. Christie Wakefield, who owned and operated a successful catering company is murdered. Since Christie’s cousin, Shannon Marlow, is Sabrina Carlson’s best friend, Sabrina and her husband Det. David Carlson waste no time interviewing the list of suspects in order to solve the murder in a timely manner. The main suspects are Larry Wakefield, Christie’s estranged husband and his girlfriend; Christie’s old boyfriend who came to visit her the day she died; Wallace, Christie’s brother who has a gambling problem; and Nick who Christie had recently fired from her company. Who has the greatest motive?
The narrator of this book did a fair job reading the story, but the entire book sounded pretty much the same throughout. No effort was made to differentiate the voices of the various characters which would have made the story more interesting to a listener.

These get better and better!
I love these books about Sabrina and David. Meredith Potts is so good at writing conversations. This book is written from Sabrina's perspective. This time Shannom is affected by a murder. That's hitting close to home for Sabrina.
This book is written when their daughter is away at the police academy.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries. They are squeaky clean. Lili Dubuque does a terrific job at reading the story. Her voice is so captivating and I was always able to know who was talking.
