Rocking Good Book

Absolutely love this rollercoaster of a love story about Birdie Girl & Liam. I’m always a sucker for a plus size female character & Kayla writes them so well. The narrators do a great job of bringing these two to life. Would absolutely recommend this audiobook to anyone.

I REALLY Liked It Like That

I already LOVED the book and the audiobook just takes it to another level.

Angelina brought Birdie to life! I always pictured her with a raspy, rockstar voice. This was the first audiobook narration I’ve heard with her and I definitely want to listen to more. Her performance is 10/10

Grayson is phenomenal as always. His performance as Liam was fantastic. 10/10.

FIRST OF ALL, BIRDIE IS MY EVERYTHING. I always find that I relate to a Kayla Grosse fmc but she truly is me. The way she looks at relationships based on past love and insecurities based on judgment from the public eye is so close to home. She is so powerful and I truly just adore her.

Liam is hotttt! I loved seeing him breakdown and pull back the layers throughout the book. My only issue is me wanting him to gravel more. He should have begged that queen for forgiveness time and time again for being a shit.

I loveddd Wren and Ben. They were so cute and loved being able to see snippets of them along with the good friendship foundation.

As far as the audiobook goes, PERFECT!! Grayson Owens never fails to amaze me whenever he hops on a Kayla book. There is no surprise he smashed it out of the park again. Angelina Rocca did amazing! I could hear her talk all day long honestly. Everything was so well done.

Birdie & Liam🥹

Grayson Owens can do no wrong when it comes to audio, & Angelina Rocca was perfect for Birdie! They both were honestly, & were exactly how I imagined Birdie & Liam to sound!

Kayla Grosse is one of my favorite authors, & she always gives us great plus size female leads, & swoon worthy men that love them! Birdie & Liam live up to that, Liam more so later on, he frustrated me at the beginning but it played well into the story & his personality/demeanor, so I get it lol!

I really enjoyed this story of friends to enemies to lovers, & bodyguard/rock star! The twist & connection was unexpected too, loved that!

Angelina and Grayson knocked this one out of the park! Such beautiful and emotional performances. Plus, a lot of fun!

Angelina & Grayson Are Perfect

I absolutely loved ILYLT by Kayla Grosse when I read it and fell even more in love with the audiobook. Angelina Rocca has a smooth, calming, jazzy voice which is perfect for Birdy who is a singer, and Grayson also a magical voice that is perfect for Liam. They really brought the audiobook to life.

This was my first ever audiobook *gasp* and I am SO happy I jumped on the listening train! Kayla Grosse has quickly earned a spot on my favorite authors list, and I jumped at the opportunity to hear this story come to life.

In all transparency, when I read this novel last year, I didn’t immediately fall in love with the main characters (I’m looking at you, Liam), BUT Grayson Owens and Angelina Rocca made me instantly feel connected to and invested in the main characters. Angelina has the PERFECT voice for the FMC, Birdie, as she has this sultry tone that embodies the essence of Birdie’s soulful singer persona.

Grayson Owens also does a phenomenal job bringing Liam to life; Owens’ tone embraces Liam’s hard edges and rugged masculinity, while simultaneously bringing his vulnerability to the surface during inner monologues and moments with Birdie.

This narration sucked me in and I binged this as much as I could while still having life responsibilities. I mean, I was BLUSHING while prepping dinner and listening to chapter 21…Grayson Owens bringing to life the promises of how Birdie will feel after her and Liam’s first time together? Yes, please! My imaginary audience wondered what I was listening to 😂 and don’t get me started on that epilogue, either!

This narration made me fall in love with this story in a whole new way 💜

A sweet, steamy story made even better with narration.

I’m always here for a childhood friends to lovers story. I Like You Like That is this with more plot that I feel like most of the romances I read tend to have. I enjoyed the story of Birdie and Liam reconnecting and bonding and the choice of narrators definitely enhanced it!

Love a good second chance romance!

I loved this story so much because it really spoke to my love of music and my love of romance! And I LOVE a second chance romance. Seeing people come back together after circumstance tore them apart never fails to make my heart race and Kayla wrote this story perfectly! I also love the tense moments, the heartbreaking ones, and the adventurous ones that fit so well into this narrative.

Also, I think I’m in love with Grayson Owens (or at least his voice anyways). He and Angelina Rocca did an incredible job of bringing these characters to life! They both nailed the emotion and passion of the characters and their stories.
