A LitRPG Fantasy novel.
The best of plans are made to be disrupted. Yokïmi Kikuchi discovers this in a difficult way as she receives a frantic message from her Farrum, the man who took her in when she was at her lowest point following her brother's betrayal. She owes it to him to answer his call.
But his final words haunt her. "I'm sorry." What could that mean? It tells her only that whatever she is going to find, the truth will not be simple. She ventures forth from her new home in the Sanctuary earlier than she anticipated, focused on finding the truth and to seek justice for him.
But what she discovers is a tangled web that she is not sure she wants to unravel. A complicated net of half-truths that stretches into the past. A twisted tale where everyone involved has blood on their hands. If she is not careful, some of that blood could be hers.
