Fascinating Story & Listen🎧Absolutely Incredible!

This second book of Meg Anne and K. Loraine’s “The Mate Games: Death” is just as amazing and exciting as the first book, “Haunting Beauty”, a not to be missed story. Dahlia Moore’s stay at the Blackwood Asylum continues to get more interesting as her story goes on. She mated with Tor in the first book, but he went into beast mode and is being held in protective custody, which is a protection for everyone else at Blackwood. With him locked up, someone else needs to look after Dahlia and there is no shortage of volunteers, but it is Malakai “Kai”, the dragon shifter that comes front and center. He, too, is a chosen mate for Dahlia and steps into the role with no resistance. We are learning more about all the characters, including the mysterious Cain Alexander, and the pieces of the puzzle are all coming together. There is never a dull moment in this book, the story is incredible and the writing, plot and world building are absolutely fantastic, as are the character growth and development. And that ending leaves us wanting more, actually needing more, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next at Blackwood and the amazing world they created because something is definitely brewing. Their performance is a treat for the ears and you could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they work their magic at the mic. I think I haven’t laughed so hard from a book before. Captain Hook is thee funniest character ever. They all are funny and just so likable. I love the FMC and her spirit!

I am definitely loving this series so far! This book had a couple plot twists that I didn't see coming, but that were awesome! I can't wait for the next book!! The narrators continue to do an amazing job and I'm glued to listening!! Now to start the next book!!

Audiobook Review: The theories are starting to unfold, but also leaving more theories to be pondered!! I’m loving this series of The Mate Games with all the folklore and fairytale mixed in. It definitely keeps you guessing which ones are incorporated and how. And the spice, as always, is chef’s freaking kiss. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Stella Hunter, Jason Clarke, JF Harding, James Joseph, John Hartley, and Samantha Brentmoor perform flawlessly together. This full cast audio team is elite.

Soooo much spice! Loving the comedy throughout also. Can’t wait to see what’s next in the story, definitely rushing to book #3!

Haunting Beauty book one of the Mate Games: Death series was just a teaser of things to come in book two Hunted Beast.

An asylum is where this series takes place so far and if you think you know what to expect with an asylum setting you couldn't be more wrong! It is like a gothic fairytale had bedroom time with a smutty paranormal romance and this is the result. Dark, sexy, and full of new twists and turns you could never have begun to predict.

Dahlia is finally learning exactly who has her back and who doesn't but the most surprising was Shadow Daddy... IYKYK. J.F. Harding brought Cain to the front and center of this story with his past that not only haunts him but also somehow haunts our girl too. When those secrets are revealed, you are not going to be prepared for that outcome.

I could be wrong on this front, but I do think that Kai and Tor are going to form the most unlikely of bromances. When John Hartley and Jason Clarke start their banter, it is the most delicious of accents you won't know what to do with yourself because it is like the most delicious game of ping-pong EVER!!

James Joseph as Hook or rather Caspian was such a delight! I was kind of in awe at how much he was able to bring this character to life. Then the characters arc throughout this book was just outstanding. You can't help but root for the delightfully naughty pirate.

Of course, we can't forget our leading lady, Stella Hunter. She never disappoints and I do have to say bravo to Kim and Meg for giving us a plus-size heroine who is not down on herself constantly. She owns what she has, and her men have absolutely zero problems with all that she has going on.

Samantha Brentmoor really nailed Dr. Masterson and Kiki. In the first book I was all about Dr. Masterson but this time it was Kiki. She is the best friend we all long to have. I really am hoping that we get her HEA at some point.

Okay, I've gone on long enough about my love for this book, but I do have to say that the added mystery with our resident serial unaliver takes this book to the next level. Hateful Prince is up next and I am just dying to see where this story goes!!

why's booktok not all over this?

Why is nobody else talking about this series? And this author honestly, I came for the cast. They sold it. I had when in totally blind had no idea what this would be about and I LOVE it. I LOVE it so much that I've pre-ordered the next one and I've Begun reading The previous sets and I love them. Why is nobody else talking about the mate games? It's awesome and this cast utterly kills it and brings this book to life. And it's the same cast for the other sets.. I'm so excited and I'm probably gonna get my credit are taken away.

That being said...I LOVE this whole series, the Mate Games But I can't stand this female character& I HATE her friend kikee or whatever. it literally pains me to leave this review, but if you've loved the first 2 sets you'll still enjoy this one. sorry that's all I can do until the last installment of this series & fingers crossed the final set will be better
