Jamie and Lyn

This was an extremely fun novella! I throughly enjoyed the short novella. I’ve never listened to a Nick Newport narration before and I would do so again!

Jamie summons a demon in life or death situation, then promptly loses the amulet, getting stuck with Lyn until they get the lost amulet back. Until they both get stuck in a fated mates situation. Lyn is hilarious with his little interjections of humor and banter. Jamie is serious, and Lyn can’t be serious about anything. They have a polar opposites effect going on and I’m here for it.

Fun and Sweet

This is a very cute story, I enjoyed it a lot. Lovely characters, some action, not the steamy kind, but the chemistry between Jammie and Lyn was strong and romance was brewing from the moment these two meet. Narrator did a good job with voices and overall this was a very good listening experience.

A Little Fantastical

This story was entertaining and sweet. However, there wasn't enough sexy times for my liking. There was a lot of action, in a demon vs. warlock faceoff. I really enjoy this narrator, and have heard him several times. I often found myself laughing and shaking my head!

Excellent Narration & Fun characters!

4.5 - This is so adorable! The narrator (Nick Newport) did such a fantastic job ! Once I began listening, I did not want to stop until I was done. Each of the characters was voiced well by the narrator and I could always tell who was speaking.

Please tell me this is just an extended Prologue to a full length book with Jamie and Lyn! They are adorable! Lyn is an especially endearing character! I want to read more about them! I love Lyn's femme looks and personality - I want more of Lyn!!

So much fun banter! "3-in-1 shampoo? Are you some kind of barbarian?!" hahaha!! love it!

Also, I love how possessive and protective Lyn is! Lyn is so sweet & snarky!

An entertaining short read

Jamie and Lyn are a hoot! Jamie needed a protector and he got Lyn, summoned at the worst time possible. Lyn is not your typical demon, they are more of the sweet, adorable, psycho, fashion loving version. It was cute watching Jamie trying to protect a demon, and absolutely delightful when Lyn unleashed the badass. There was not much romance, this was more of an action adventure. The Narrator did a good job bringing each character to life.

Oh Wow! Lyn is one of my new favorite characters! They are hysterical and bada$$. I do wish this story had been longer as I would have liked to see Jaime and their relationship grow a bit more.
Nick Newport does a great job of breathing life into the characters.

I truly enjoyed this audiobook. The action, humour, banter and intriguing characters make the story very engaging and entertaining. Jamie is a rare human living amongst magical beings, and he is just doing his best to survive until he summons the demon Lyn to protect him from a ghoul. Lyn is my favourite character in the story. They are funny, into fashion, smart and sassy, and they are ready to protect Jamie with their life once they recognize the mate link between the two of them.  I really would love to read more by this author.
Nick Newport does a fabulous job narrating this short story. His pacing and expression are wonderful and really help to bring the story and the characters to life.
I received an audiobook copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Wonderful characters

I adored Lyn the demon in this one. He's hip, hysterical and can't believe he's found his fated mate in Jamie, this human who's stolen and amulet and used it in desperation to summon help during a ghoul attack. The author does a great job of building the world with just the right amount of detail and suspense while giving us two characters who are wonderful together. I thought Nick Newport did an amazing job with Lyn who was my favorite character but also brought all the other characters to life really well and caught the suspense element perfectly.

Well developed and fun

This short story was a rollercoaster of a ride. It's full of danger, mythological beings, magic, humor, innuendos, sweetness and sass. Indentured slave/servant Jamie needs help and his help is summoned in the form of snarky, sassy, demon Lyn. These are two opposites who are fated to be together and their differences compliment each other well. I enjoyed ow they get to know each other. it's really only a super short amount of time, but so much happens in that time that it seels like they get to know each other rather well. It feels a little like the ending is a mix between a HFN and a HEA and I hope there might be more with these two as their relationship develops because I think they could seriously become a powerhouse couple.

I've read the ebook and I've listened to the audiobook. Nick Newport is a new narrator for me and I enjoyed his reading of this story. His portrayal helped bring the characters to more life and brought a sense of fun.

Cute, quick and fun

Okay first, the narration for this audiobook is some of the best I’ve listened to in quite a while! This is a quick little read that is fun and packs quite a bit in. I enjoyed both MC but Lyn is hysterical. There is zero spice other than a couple saucy comments, but the connection between them is tangible.
