About this listen

There are no douchebags in this story.

Well, there are, but they're not who this story is about.

This story is about me - the coach's daughter.

When I moved to Iowa to live with my dad, the university's take-no-prisoners wrestling coach, I thought transferring would be easy as pie - living with my father would be temporary, and he'd make sure his douchebag wrestlers left me alone.

Wrong on both counts.

Assholes always come out of the woodwork when the stakes are high.

A bet is placed, and I'm on the table. After one humiliating night and too much alcohol, I find the last nice guy on campus. And when he offers to rent me his spare bedroom, I go all in. It's time for the nice guy to finish first.

Midnight chats and spilling my problems turn to lingering touches. Lingering touches turn to more.

And the ultimate good guy has the potential do more damage than any douchebags ever could.

college great

this one was pretty cute. Elliot is the sweet guy and when he has to leave, its gut wrenching. it would have been nice to include a bit on him reading or finding the diary. if I were changing it, I'd have the roommate let elliot in the house while Annabel wasnt home and then have him find the journal... maybe even think that Rex ab d her were more than friends.

Amazing til the end

I really did love this book until the last bit of it. The whole Rex/Elliot mess just didn’t do it for me. Aside from that, I loved it. I just don’t like Rex and he aggravates me.

Another great one from Sara Ney

I love everything about Sara Ney's Douche Bag Series even though you find characters from the other series in each book she does a great job creating the new character stories. Annabelle and Elliot have a great story, I think everyone will enjoy their friends to lovers. I even liked Rex Gunderson in this book he starts out as a douchbag but turns into a nice guy. At one point I was even routing for him.

Basically if you are a fan of Sara Ney's other Douchebag books you'll be a fan of this one as well. And of course with Muffy Newtown narrating you can't go wrong. She's paired nicely with Josh Goodman.

Love this book

This book is my favorite of the series so far. Love love love it! I think the douchebag series is so cute. Full of love, and sarcasm and laughter. It’s a great read.

This series can't be over!

I am having trouble coming to terms with the fact that this series is over. There are other stories, surely! I love everything about this series, but mostly the humor and chapter headers.

A good listen

I liked this story, worth a listen. I've been listening to a lot of dark stories lately and though this did bring tears to my eyes a few times, it was a nice sweet break from them.

3.75 stars

The first two-thirds of this book are wonderful. Last third, not so much. I don't want to include spoilers in this review, so I'll be vague about what I didn't like.
I actually didn't mind the big development that occurs the last third of the book, but I DID take issue with the MMC's actions. I feel like the author missed an opportunity to develop the romance more, which was a confusing choice to me. When there is separation between the two main characters the last third of the book, I expect on-page angst and pining. We barely got that in this story from the MMC's POV and it was needed after the decisions he made.
Because I enjoyed this couple and most of their story, I'm going to give this 3.75 stars. I have to deduct 1.25 star for what I stated above and the fact that another male character steps in and does what the MMC should be doing the last third of the book. I didn't mind the friendship between this male character and the FMC, but I felt his role was too prominent at the point of the story.

Torn between 2 amazing characters

Damn does this series get better and better. This one definitely tore at my heartstrings and without spoiling it, I definitely had some reservations about Elliot and was surprised to see Rex redeem himself. The book had a great gradual pace but I did feel the end a little rushed. Great book!

So Fun!

This story starts like a lot of others, but takes a twist. And I really did laugh out loud at times.

NICE STORY, BUT COULD HAVE LIVED WITHOUT THE TWIST

I've loved all of these books. This one I thought was going to be my favorite, but then the twist happened and I really wanted something different than what happened. Overall it's a great story, don't miss it.
