About this listen

I can’t date Dean Madden. He’s a bad boy and my older brother’s best friend. So what if I pretended he was my fake boyfriend in high school? That was a long time ago, and he never has to know. We’re both grown up now. It’s never going to happen.

Until one hot weekend when everything happens.

Now Dean has made a bet with me: Four weeks of dating, and whoever gets dumped first loses. In order to win, I just have to date him. And the more dates we go on, the more I see the things Dean hides from the rest of the world.

This might be crazy. It might make my brother mad. It might not be forever, no matter how much I want it to be.

And it might be the wildest four weeks of my life.

Loved this story

The last thing that Holly should have been doing is dating her her brother’s best friend. Even if it was just part of a bet. Dean hasn’t had the easiest life. He’s pretty rough on the outside. But could there be another layer to him? Dean is totally swoon worthy! Love this story!

good book

The book was okay. It started a little slow for me in the beginning but it got better towards the end.

Worth the listen

This book takes a few chapters to really get into the story, we start out with some of the backstory of the main characters. But after that things start to pick up and get very interesting. I'm glad I gave this book a chance and I think I'll continue with the series.

A bet turns into love

This book has so much going for it. It is full of emotions and past hurts that need to heal as well as a long time crush that grows into love.

Holly has had a crush on Dean since she was a kid. He is her brothers best friend and he spent so much time at her house when they were young that he is familiar. When Dean grows up and goes away for a few years Holly moves on and does her own thing that is until he is back and looking so good and right there tempting her.

Dean can't fall for his best friends little sister, he just can't. He isn't the relationship kind of guy, he is a love them and move on guy but when Holly proposes a bet between them for 4 weeks it is one he can't pass up.

This book has so much heart and emotion that it just melted me. I loved all the characters and wanted Dean and Holly to find their happily ever after. I wanted to wrap Dean in my arms for a big hug and high five Holly for being such a great young woman. It is hot and sweet and funny at times as well and has some places that will pull at your heart.

Jacob Morgan and Savannah Peachwood were terrific narrating this book. The emotion that was needed for Dean was delivered by Jacob. He was perfect as Dean. Savannah is also great and I loved listening to her as Holly. I devoured this book I enjoyed it so much and look forward to more from this author. Everything I have listened to by this author I have enjoyed.

I really LOVED this novel

This story really touched me. It's raw, full of love, and circumstances I can relate too. Great job by the author and a great job done by the narrators. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Good story, but it she said/he said me to death

I enjoyed the story. I look for anything read by Jacob Morgan because his voice is just THAT awesome. Savannah Peachwood is also an excellent narrator. Overall, the story was enjoyable. The story arc was nice. I liked how the conflict between the two characters was written. The one thing that really bothered me was the author's use of "she said" and "he said". It got repetitive and annoying to hear that over and over when there was dialogue between characters. I know there are a variety of synonyms for said that could be used. Maybe if it was being read and not on audiobook it wouldn't have bothered me as much. "But then, no Jacob Morgan reading, so I will endure," she said.

Brother’s best friend Catnip

I live this trope and a love story when I can actually see a real relationship be built and characters grow while being together. Plus it’s steamy in the best ways.
