The Human

Amazing!!!!

This is definitely a must Audible! Excellent storyline, perfected narration & one thrilling adventure! I can’t wait for what book two unfolds!

I was excited about the hype but not sure

After reading Sarah J Mass series & Fourth Wing I’d been searching for another similar read. The performance here is great! & the story isn’t bad, but it seemed so abrupt at many points. I did finish this book in 3 days so it wasn’t hard to listen to. But there were several points where I was like “did it skip a chapter or something, what is going on??” I wasn’t able to feel a connection with the characters like I have with other similar books. The twist at the end left me feeling more confused than surprised. Still not a bad book, just didn’t live up to the hype I was expecting.

Dual Narration. Mediocre Story

This story had a LOT of potential. Maybe the second book will make up for what the first hook was lacking. First there were 8 chapters of her talking about her profession in detail. I get that it’s something that comes in to play later in the story. But that was SO repetitive. 1 or 2 chapters max was all it needed to give the desired effect. The way her character was written was weird. It felt very wattpad. The descriptions of her beauty and how beautiful she thought she was SO repetitive. I think we get the same exact description of a lot of things in this story a solid 3-5 times. There were a few times I thought there was a glitch in the audio because I thought I was listening to the same chapter twice. Nope. It was just written twice. It took half of the book to even start the story and get remotely interesting. And once it was interesting, that’s when the descriptions started lacking. It was just all over the place. This big twist everyone is talking about wasn’t that hard to put together. And once it was revealed it lacked enough description at that point to fully make sense. It wasn’t the worst book I ever read. It had major potential. I’m undecided if it’s worth it to continue on to the next book or not.

Lots of rambling but it got better

The first half of the story there was a lot of TELLING vs showing… the ending got more interesting but I feel like the ending of the book set up a book 2 and IMO that’s where it finally got interesting.

Amazing plot twist

Just wow! I couldn’t stop listening 😍. I was glued to my ear buds. Definitely recommend this book!!

Simple writing, easy read

The writing is very simple, if it wasn't for the sex scenes I would think it was a Young Adult book. It feels very rushed to get to the end, not much character or world building. Still easy enough to listen.

Jerk and a half

I personally liked this book, especially in comparison to some of the junk pushed out these days. The story kind of dragged at the beginning, but it all ended up being worth it for the picture the author painted. The lead male character is a Jerk and a half, but if you're like me and enjoy that, then it's worth it. I will definitely enjoy this book again and am looking forward to the next one.

Mind blown

I loved all the twist and turns in the book great storytelling just sad I have to wait so long for book 2…..what’s next?

Incredible!

Absolutely incredible in every way!! I need the second book right now!! Can’t wait for it to be released!

Surprisingly good

Slow. Slow start but other than that it was suspenseful and fun . The ending was most shocking.
