Interesting Gothic Paranormal Romance

I absolutely loved listening to this gothic paranormal romance. It took me a little while to find myself deep in the story, it's a bit of characters and general world building with a lot mystery in the beginning and it took me about half the book to stop wondering if I missed something or if I just wasn't supposed to understand yet. Such tends to be life when I start new worlds on audio as I can get distracted if I'm not making sure I'm paying attention.

The audio was great. I really enjoyed listening to Islay Jacobs and Ryan West narrate this story. I think my only complaint was that I couldn't always tell when Islay was voicing a male character, they weren't super different from her female voice... but overall I loved it.

That ending was a masterpiece and I'm so excited to dive into Infernium and find out how this story plays out.

A beautiful and tragic love story that transcends time and mortality- I loved every minute of this book.

Top narrators

Story took a bit to really pull me in, but not at all disappointing. Narrators did a great job both with their own main roles and the other gender roles they read for. Spice was good.... when it finally got there.

Super enjoyable

I stopped reading a romantasy book in the middle of the series before picking this up- it was getting tedious if you know what I mean. This book was well written, throughout and pretty captivating. Pleasantly surprised.
