Love It!

I have read this series before (ebook on Amazon) but I love audiobooks and Shane East is *Italian kiss*. You have to give it a try if you love paranormal romance, adventure, sexy men and a good plot. There is excellent and natural character development throughout the book and you never get bored while listening. East portrays the characters well (similar to how I imagined them when I first read the book) and even does female voices and accents beautifully. I will definitely be waiting for the next in Denali Day’s’ series!
*This book does not contain full on steamy scenes but does have implied heat. (Well written and up to the reader to use their imagination).

All the feels - hate to love

I have never hated main character as much as I disliked Joselyn. She was so damaged and with such a willful stubborn spirit I didn’t see how they would have worked out. On many occasions I found myself cussing out loud that Hollen needs to just return her to psycho father and fiancé coz they deserve each other. Shane East’s reading of Joselyn parts emphasized her nasty spirit and his reading of Hollen made me fall in love wit the barbarian. The depth of character development in this book was so good I couldn’t stop listening . It was so emotionally charged and at times draining . If you want to feel emotional turmoil of indecision , listen to this book because it is well written .
*this book is such a tease - 19 hrs of listening and not even a little steamy scene… why?

Loved it

Loved the storyline but was sorely disappointed when I realized it was fade to black. Also found myself more in love with the bonus story. Overall it was a good listen especially with Shane East as the narrator. He did an excellent job

Too much angst. too much whine.

I'm changing my review... slightly. I didn't like the title book for reasons I'll go into below. However, I loved everything about the added content of Sven the Collector, and highly recommend you skip to that story, then go to the main title if you must see for yourself that it's just not as good.
In that one, I kept waiting for her character to grow and strengthen but she was just waaaay too determined to be a willing, weak victim, and throw herself away to please she wanted someone who would never love her to appreciate her "sacrifice". I just couldn't finish it.

Good story

This is the first book I've heard from this author and I enjoyed it!

Beautiful and Brash

This story has as much beauty as it does blood. Hollen is such gentle giant and Joselyn is as fierce as her red hair would imply. All the characters are well fleshed out and as vivid as the landscape and the beasts. Shane East is the perfect narrator/performer for this piece. He is a consummate pro.

A Romance with Dragons

HOLLEN THE SOULLESS is the first book in the series Dokiri Brides. Author Denali Day has created an exciting and believable fantasy world with heroic men who fly on dragons, terrifying monsters, dastardly villains, and fair maidens. Loyalty, trust, love, friendship, and duty are all examined, tested, and turned on their heads. This is a really good story.
Narrated by the very talented Shane East.

Amazing book!!!

This book keeps you page for page, wondering what will come next. Romance scenes are not explicit, but the warm romance will tug at your heart strings. I loved this book.

A bit too much gratuitous violence towards the end. Very unexpected and too much horror for my liking. Killed the vibe. Not my thing
