About this listen

His name is Taylor McFadden, survivor of 83 trips into the ZOO. Now, he's retired, and yet his country needs his skills to save people in the country he calls home. Can he build a company, put down roots, and still bring the pain when the FBI calls?

When they tag him as The Cryptid Assassin, they weren't wrong. For monsters that go bump in the night, he is death incarnate.

As a vet I found some of the story funny and I could see myself going through the same thought process as the main character. The story is a bit short, but still I enjoyed it. I look forward to the next one.

A good read

Loved this book, so of course I had to go get some extra credits to get the next three in the series and have already downloaded book two. It does have quite a bit of language in it and sexual references, so its not for young children, but probably isnt worse than what a high schooler would hear on a school bus (I was a bus rider throughout my school career - trust me, you hear some stuff). Taylor is definitely an asshole, but that's fine with me. He's very blunt and amusing, and his realistic yet jaded view of the world is something I find enjoyable. Looking forward to the next book in the series

I love the story and characters.
it catches your interest from the start and does not lose it.

interesting

I thought it was going to be a bit cheesy but the character and enemies were pretty well thought out. Not just a bunch of action scenes where he makes miraculous move after perfectly timed strikes and definitely makes you want to start the 2nd book ASAP

Different in a good way

This narrator needs a female partner, there is WAY too much fake anger for no reason. Finally the writer needs to take a class in logic.. You have self driven cars but need wifi on a smartphone to upload anything... Or you call someone to pick you up instead of the self drive feature... #hardpass

book is interesting especially when they talk about cryptic's. I wish they wouldn't use the F-word

Amusing, action packed sci-fi quick listen to while working and interesting for the second.

Goodish

This was an interesting story, but the audio quality was a little off. I don’t know if it was the audio quality or the narrator, but it sounded like the main character off of “Everybody loves Raymond” at certain points due to hollowness of the sound. I got past it and I’m interested enough to follow the next one, but the recording quality on this one seems a little off.

normally a good author but honestly the first four and a half hours of this book was incredibly boring

ehhh!?

Well written and performed. Too short is my only complaint. Ended a little abrupt but assume this will be extended in other books.

Well done
