Excellent book!

Really enjoyed the podcast format of this book. The last part of the book that goes into the US withdrawal from Afghanistan is very compelling stuff, but I also enjoyed the story of the black mambas , a group of all women Rangers protecting South African wildlife from poachers.

compelling, educational, moving and inspiring

all stories were compelling with fantastic bgm but somehow the story of the young diplomat was for me the most affecting for me. what a story and so much heartbreak. you can hear how the military feels about the politicians' decisions.

the heroism aspect of the story

I feel this should be added to everyone's list of literary works to read. it is awareness that should be spread as far and wide as possible. We don't give enough credit to the man and woman who serve our country.

Great interview format

Interesting and important stories. The music and formatting was a little distracting at times. Would welcome another series with more stories

What a great collection of important stories. I would love to hear more. I was very impressed with the last story regarding the efforts made by just a few to help those Afghans who risked their lives for the American military.

if you are tired of fiction this is a must. dramatic stories gently told, so inspiring. Interviews with the people involved a plus as they tell their stories in their own words

Fascinating and entertaining . Hard to stop. Great insights. And the sounds with music were great.

Background story

I liked all of it especially the espionage part of the story that made me think how hard this review is to write.

interesting stories, sound balance off

I enjoyed listening to these stories and would have enjoyed it more if the sound was better. Often the host was so soft that i had to crank the volume to hear him, then the music between, introducing episodes was soo loud it was jarring.
