Makes YouThink

For me it started off slow and sometimes I couldn't see the connection between the middle aged character and who they were in their youth but in the end it made more sense. There was plenty of wisdom shared through the characters and very thought provoking even if your own family history doesn't compare at all. Overall it was excellent and made me think about the last 100 years or so in general and in a more personal way. Excellent narration too! So glad I was able to listen to it! I don't know where I would have found the time to read it myself.

I loved this book. Gave me insight into my grandparents' lives....and what life might have been like in the 1920s, 30s and 40s...

Awesome, Awesome story. This book showed

myself, and the problems in my relationship with my eldest daughter. This story is truly a blessing and I will purchase the second book in this series.

Narrator is superb

Would you listen to Her Mother’s Hope again? Why?

I'd listen to this book again in a year or two like I do other favorite books. I'm a die-hard Francine Rivers' fan.

What did you like best about this story?

An audiobook can lose me within the first 15 minutes if the narrator can't convince me that I'm hearing a story. I know that's a lot of pressure to put on a narrator, but that's why we do audiobooks. Ms Nielson had me hooked from the beginning.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was Rosie's description of finding Elise's body. The vision was so clear in my head that I was very touched.

Fantastic

I loved all the characters- that are so real. Francine Rivers is one of my favorite authors. Can’t wait to start the sequel.

Awesome story, excellent narration!

I sure hope there's a sequel because that ending needs resolution! :) This was a great book to listen to at work, nothing too deep yet still very meaningful and also entertaining.

Another beautiful story.

As with all Francine Rivers books, I hated for it to end, but I’m excited to start the sequel. And the narrator is one of the best!! I loved it!

a book you do not want to end

the perfect amount of details. lots of history shared during it. I really enjoyed every moment listening to it (to the point of not doing things in order to listen a little longer).

not the ending I was hoping for

I was hoping for a catharsis on both mother and daughter's part, but unfortunately have to settle for it only being one-sided. maybe it's in the sequel?
