About this listen

Useful wisdom. Simple profound mental models to guide your decisions.

Overwhelmed? If you feel anything less than “hell yeah!” about something, say no. We say yes too often. By saying no to almost everything, you leave space and time in your life to throw yourself completely into the few things that matter most.

After Derek Sivers’ “hell yeah or no” rule was adopted by podcasters, bloggers, and investors, he compiled related ideas into this useful, profound, and surprising book around the themes of what’s worth doing, fixing faulty thinking, and making things happen. Examples:

  • Be proud to be a slow thinker.
  • Goals shape the present, not future.
  • Assume you’re below average.
  • Life has no speed limit.
  • What’s obvious to you is amazing to others.
  • Relax for the same result.

The first 15,000 early buyers of Hell Yeah or No have posted hundreds of 5-star reviews at sive.rs/n—but it is now being released to a wider audience.

Loved the content. Super fun and thought provoking. Person who said chapter numbers - didn’t enjoy. But buy it for the neat, thought provoking content!

Lots of terrific paradigms through which we can view choices and the world. It might be because I listened to and read so many overlapping authors that many of these things seemed repetitive. Doesn’t make them any less useful, just less mind blowing to me now. I’d recommend this one!

Lots of solid wisdom, packaged, and nice bites

I highly recommend this book. It's short, but full of important ideas and wisdom that's been distilled through many years of experience.

I want to re-listen to it as it's densely packed with I think 60 or so great points

This book is a Hell Yeah

The concept is good. I enjoyed the book, but would have preferred the hard copy edition. I like the short chapters which would have made it an easier read for me. Because of that, the audiobook version is a little much. The instrumentals and the chapter intros got rather annoying pretty quick.

This book turned out to be exactly what I needed. The more I hear from the author, the more I like him. Definitely a recommend ESPECIALLY if you are an artist, struggling with mission/vision/purpose, a teenager, or just someone open to new ideas and wants to live life well.

I Love This Guy!

Grounding book. Helps you in decision making and problem solving. Humbling and straight to point

Interesting format, where each chapter is a small digestible idea. Cute little intros for each chapter.
