About this listen

Even salvation can be delivered through the love of the damned. Beauty can be a curse. Faith can be a cage. Only love can set you free.

A few long weeks after being reluctantly ripped from the comforting embrace of her sacred prophet's religious commune - the only life she has ever known - a terrified Delilah is thrust into a world enveloped by evil and swimming in sin. Steadfastly devout in her faith, and retaining the deep belief that her soul is innately tarnished as a branded "Cursed woman of Eve", Delilah is determined to find her way home to her people in The Order and away from the corrupt and damned outlaw motorcycle club - The Hades Hangmen - who hold her at their secluded compound for her protection - a 'protection' she strongly resents.

Delilah yearns to return home, convinced that only amongst her own people, and under the holy guidance of the Lord's revealed prophet, can her Satan-spawned soul be truly saved. Conditioned her entire life to believe she is a witch - a life-long temptress, the devil's whore - Delilah increasingly resents her beautiful face, her shapely body, and her sensuous effect on men. But when a man of the motorcycle club - a deeply sinful, yet stunningly beautiful man - is charged with her care, Delilah begins to see that this dangerous and moral-less sinner from the 'outside' may offer her something she did not know could truly exist: unconditional love.

Kyler "Ky" Willis loves his life: a daily abundance of brotherhood, liquor, the freedom of the open road, and - best of all - his pick of hot women. Raised a biker brat and now VP of the most notorious MC in the States, Ky has no shortage of club sluts warming his bed; a situation he takes full advantage of until a certain blonde enters his life. A gorgeous pilgrim-blonde he can't get out of his head, a pilgrim-blonde he and his club recently rescued from some backward religious cult, and a pilgrim-blonde he's been ordered to keep the hell away from and his whorish hands off.

When yet another in a lengthy line of drunken blunders forces Ky to reluctantly take charge of the pilgrim-blonde's care, he realizes that there could be more to this woman than just supermodel looks and a stacked set of tits. He begins to see that she could be the woman who could do the impossible - tame his wild ways and capture his reluctant heart. But the unyielding bonds of Lilah's past are strong, her "people" determined and, with a new Prophet in charge and hell bent on revenge, they are mightily reluctant to let her go.

A great 2nd book in the Hades Series

Tillie Cole did it again with her 2nd book in the series. This book is dark and gritty and isn't your typical MC book. It does hit some of the typical MC themes but is so much more and had me on my edge of my seat. I love Tillie's dark romances, she doesn't hold back and her books aren't for everyone as they are violent but they do have a HEA.

Bring on the Hangman

I listened to this book on Audible and it was absolutely amazing. These narrators brought so much life into the characters that you felt like you were in a movie. This story starts off right after the first book and we have Lila and Maddie back at the clubhouse with Mae. They are not doing so well with living on the outside world. Lila most of all is really struggling. She is hiding away and doesn't understand why she can't go back and be saved from being a cursed woman. Ky is living the hangman life even though his eyes stray to Lila anytime they can. Until one night he steps over the line and pushes Lila. Styx now puts Ky in charge of Lila to teach her the way of the hangman and what the world outside the commune holds. This book was interesting and will captivate you from the start. I loved that we saw what was happening with the hangman as well as the new commune with brother Caine. This story is twisted and dark, but your heart will melt with how Ky takes care of Lila. Lila is a strong character that has been through hell and back and has survived the worst of the worst. Check your trigger warnings as there are so very twisted situations in this book but with the way they are written it makes the story so much better. Lila and Ky's story is twisted and dark but also of recovery and beautiful beginnings. This series has been fantastic, and I can't wait to listen to the rest.

Perfect narration..

This author, this book, made me feel every emotion imaginable x 10.. not for the faint of heart.. and I was faint of heart several times. Best of all the ending leaves you wanting more. Mind the TW's, it's a very dark storyline.

OMG! This series! I can't stop listening!

First, this is a great MC series. At times I had to stop listening just to catch my brain up and digest some of the story. Wow! When a book evokes strong emotions on the reader you know it's a great read. Let me tell you, this series does just that. Crap, only one more, book 3, to listen to. Come on Audible give us book 4. lol

* 4.5 Stars *

Lilah was a hard character to swallow, which I think is the only reason this book wasn’t a full 5 star read for me. She went through so much in her past and pretty much throughout this entire book and I know it was unfair of me to judge her so harshly but man I couldn’t help but be annoyed with her constant belief that she deserved everything the order did to her, that it was the only way to rid herself of the devil’s hold on her. She was completely and utterly brainwashed by the order and that was a really hard thing to understand. I feel like the first book was prepping us for the darkness in this book, everything in all their past was dark and twisted but this one went further in the sense that so much still happened to Lilah even after she escaped the Order. Of course the most religious of the group ends up with the crudest man whore in the club, even I couldn’t help but blush and cringe with some of the crap coming out of Ky’s mouth. With all of his manwhore-ish ways, I loved that he was completely devoted to Lilah once he realized his feelings… of course he was still crude though. Bunny Warren, Biff Summers and JF Harding all did a great job narrating. Some of the voices grated on my nerve, like Tiff and Jewels, but I am guessing that’s more because I didn’t like them.

Prepare ~ An Emotional Roller Coaster Ride!

Heart Recaptured is an intense, dark, gut wrenching story with little light, but like a moth drawn to the flame, I was helpless too look away, and found myself right there with the characters enduring each up and down. It's impossible to listen to this without feeling a world wind of emotions from anger, disbelief, sadness, disgust, frustration, to acceptance and love. The journey for these characters was not easy, at times, it was cruel, hard to bare, and some characters will be left with more scars than others. However, when they finally arrive at their bittersweet happy every after, you finally get to feel a sense of peace, acceptance and love.

The character development was great! There's both likeable and unlikable characters. Ky's the VP in the Hades Hangman MC, who lives hard, rides hard, and never considered being with just one women or having an "old lady." When he's assigned to care for one of the women rescued from the Commune, she will have him longing for more, and will bring out his protective instincts.

Lilah's been brainwashed by the Commune and truly believes in their teachings. Because of her beauty, she has been deemed a "cursed." As a cursed, it is believed she is Satan spawned and will tempt men from their righteous path. Under the Commune's wrapped beliefs, she will never be worthy of love, or allowed to marry. When she finds herself at the Hades compound, she has a hard time reconciling the life she grew up with against her new environment, and hangs onto her beliefs with an ironclad hold. Ky's been tasked to care for Lilah, and help her adjust to her new found freedom; however, with Lilah's deep seeded beliefs, Ky may never be able to get her to accept her new life.

This is the first audio I've listened to narrated by Warren and Summers, and they both did really good. Summer's delivering of some of the dialogue was actually funny, and I found myself laughing a few time throughout the story. Harding's performance is always great! I enjoyed the three narrator approach, and how it helped to separate the MC from the Commune.

While the story may be dark, the plot's well written, suspenseful, gripping and will have you hanging onto every word. Love It or Hate It! It's another unforgettable Hades Hangmen story that will linger with you well after you've finished it. I LOVED It, and found myself unable to stop listening. It was well worth the time!

Personally enjoyed more than its predecessor

It took me a while to get used to Ky's narrarator, but I did with preference over the others overtime. At first, he sounded to raspy and monotone (unvarying Ky's emotions) as he narrarated Kyle's thoughts; however, I came to accept and like the way he had portrayed Ky. The plot of the story continues from the first Hangmen book, but through the eyes of two formerly mentioned characters, Ky and Deliah. Styx and Mei are only mentioned and verbalized when they're in either Ky's or Delilah's presence. Rider is presented in this book as prophet Cain with a more threatening role to the hangman and Mei.
