End to end excitement

Loved the display of loyalty, friendship and edge of the seat thrills! John is a special guy!

Reznick & Friends at the best!

A very difficult assignment was given to redneck to kill a traitor who is selling secrets to Russia and the Arabs. Reznick call his Scottish friend and his tech person, and the three of them accomplished the impossible! Action is always part of Reznick‘s life!

Constant action

Another “Hard” adventure with our hero John Reznick. Always exciting and full of surprises! Can’t wait to read/listen to the next “Hard” story!

Thrilling but not gory

Fun, exciting, human, great narrator, great story. New to me author in this genre. Will look for more by author.

Another Great One

Thoroughly enjoyed this one, cannot wait for the next! Not only was it a great story, it had great details and real world references throughout.

Looking forward to book 14 with anticipation !

I have listened to all thirteen books and very much enjoyed everyone. Looking forward to book fourteen…we all know that the author can’t end on 13…right?

The story progression was easy to listen and follow.

Like the story, didn’t like the reader. His expressions seemed forced not a natural read.

He just reuses the same sentences

This book is atrocious. I ended up finishing it because I found out it was excellent at putting me to sleep.

Nationalist propaganda in a crappy, drawn out story

I have read all of this series, and enjoyed them. I enjoy that Jon does not take any prisoners, does not ask before he acts, and goes rogue whenever he can. It’s great escapism for sure. The books have been well paced, and an exciting listen. This book is just a bunch of conservative nationalist propaganda, endless side conversations that do nothing for the story, and only further an agenda. I feel like this story was workshopped by a focus group, got to the author and said that all of his books are read by white Republican men in their 60s who played football in high school. I don’t know how else to describe it, but I’m so disappointed.

Preposterous Plot

Most spy thriller authors have to go a bit off the range to come up with plots these days - but this one, a decades long senior. CIA official goes rogue, selling intelligence to most anyone, anywhere, but with a primary allegiance to, and working relationship with, the Russians?? That is way too far off the range for this reader.
