About this listen

I was born a few moments after midnight on January 1st. On my 21st birthday, my father throws me the most lavish New Year's Eve birthday party Baton Rouge has ever seen—then he tells me I'm a woman now, and that means I belong to a man he owes a blood debt.

No, not a man. A demon who feeds on my family’s pain and suffering. Especially mine.

His name is Hades Fairgood. But he is neither good nor fair.

He's the twisted ruler of a biker underworld, and everything my dead mother warned me to avoid. Dirty rich, stupid hot, and merciless. There's not even a smidge of human left in his bitter, vengeful heart. I find that out the particularly cruel way when he renames me Persy—short for Persephone and has "Property of Hades" tattooed across my back.

So that I never forget....

I'm his possession now. He owns me, mind, body, and soul.

He’s a needlessly beautiful monster who I must escape. Of course, I must.

It’s just….

The longer I’m with him, the more confusing it becomes. Is he a merciless monster or a wounded man in need of love? My love?

It doesn’t matter. It shouldn’t matter either way. I just hope I can escape his wrath before he ruins me.

intense

after reading the other books in this series i was excited to read this book. I new it would be intense and I have so many questions
from all the hints in the other books. The emotion and intensity of these characters is so beautifully written. I did not see the twisted end to this one. I can't wait for the next book.
narration is fantastic to.

Love T. Taylor's books!

T.T. never ceases to draw me into her world through her books. I've made my way through the majority of her audiobooks because I can't get enough. Clementine does a wonderful job narrating along with which ever male narrator she is reading with.

So excited!

I love how the story is coming along. I’ll admit, I had to go back to a few stories to make sure I got it right, like Keen’s and Waylon’s. Can’t wait to read the next book!

Should have been a set or just one book

I thought Griffen was my least favorite Fairgood but Hades is now number one. Like how isn’t it the men that didn’t grow up on the messed up compound are the actual worst?! The way he did so many mental somersaults to make it okay to just “take” poor Stephanie.

The tattoo and the dog cage enraged me. And how he let her dad chillax in his mansion when he was the guilty culprit.

Listening to book 2 now. Not sure he can redeem himself.

Hades:Stephanie and the Merciless Reaper

I really didn’t care to much for this story. I just didn’t see the point of Hades getting revenge on a innocent girl who didn’t know anything about what her father had done. I felt like Hades should have came to realize that in the story. So he, let his mother killer get away with it and made the innocent daughter suffer instead which to me makes no sense because her father didn’t care about his daughter so he really didn’t get revenge against his mother killer. I think he should have let Stephanie go and made her father pay for his own crimes and then I could possibly see a love story between Hades and Stephanie. I just can see a woman love. Man who put her in a dog cage who put a gun to her head and playing Russian roulette for months and put a tattoo on her body without her permission that say property of Hades. And then said he didn’t force sex on a woman but he force a tattoo and made-her dress like a slut. If he took her freedom and willing to put her in a cage he should just rape her too since his character was merciless. How could someone who would hurt a person and try to say they love you in the same breath. I just don’t see that happening I know this is fiction but even in fiction you still need to have some reality in your story And I just can’t see a love story here with the abuse that the heroine suffered from the hero. I think the Narrators did an amazing job.

2.5 Stars

The blurb made this book seem right up my alley, but it quickly became apparent that it was along the lines of plots that I have never been able to get into. Instead of just a debt-owed/captive type story, it was that of a slave who was humiliated. This continued for most of the book, then all of a sudden, they were falling into bed and in love. I never felt their connection above that of maybe lust. We then jump to an epilogue, and they're married, which was fine, but there was a whole new storyline going on, one which we have no idea how we got to. It seemed like nothing more than a set up for book 2. A book 2 that I didn't know existed, as there is no mention of this being part of a duet or continuous series in the blurb. There were also chapters throughout by people who we have no idea who they are or how the connect to Stephanie or Hades. After hearing the epilogue, I assume they will come into play in the next book, but I honestly have no interest in finding out how they relate to this story. The audiobook was well done, with both narrators doing a good job, especially with the accents.
