About this listen

I've had feedback from students that they just want me to read them drug names and mnemonics so they can put in their earbuds before they go to bed before their board exams. I've got three five year olds, I don't have time to do the heavy lifting you all do as narrators. In Memorizing Pharmacology: A Relaxed Approach, which will sell over 6,500 audiobook copies in its first year, I only had the narrator complete 200 drug names in a seven hour book. There is a list of 350 later in the book, but I thought, who in the world would want to listen to 350 drug names in a row? So I omitted it. There was an answer to that rhetorical question, health professional students studying for a board exam that are exhausted from family, work, and school want to listen to it.

Quick and Easy way to study!

Just downloaded today, and listened to the chapters needed for tomorrow's exam. I feel like I am already more familiar with the drug names that I need to know, Who doesn't love shortcuts.

Best way to retain the drug names!!

A fantastic way to remember the crazy drug names...some stories are entertaining and some clever enough that you will ALWAYS remember brand/generic names. No better way to remember quickly and efficiently. Why struggle if you can just have this lol.

Easy to understand!!

This book has made my introduction to pharmacology a whole lot easier. I am a first year nursing student and wanted help with my first pharmacology class. I was recommended this book by my professor and I have never looked back. The way the book is organized is really helpful. One of my favorite parts is the quizzes in the back of each chapter. This is a great checkpoint for your learning and really keeps me on track.

Play at its normal speed - helps sleep hygiene

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook right before bed, with the deep narration it has helped me with my sleeping rituals and teaches me something before I fall asleep, I didn’t like how the chapters we learn in PHA 202 don’t correlate with this book, as I wanted to skip right to the Cardio – diuretics chapter. I’m not sure what to expect for the NCLEX examination, but it builds to the 200 top drugs that we already learned in class, and the audiobook reads it in an efficient manner organizing it in a specific order of the speed they work in. The cardio chapter of this audiobook helped me retain the diuretics better because it allowed me to visualize the drug names that are on memoringpharm.com and it provides the history of where it came from while connecting it with actors like Bruce Lee, it allowed me to relate his death to omeprazole.

Goodnight Pharm Overall Review

Chapter 3
In Chapter 3 of Goodnight Pharm, it helped to remind me that in gastrointestinal people take calcium carbonate which its brand name is known as tums and I can remember that by the word tummy. You take tums to help with your gastrointestinal issues which is why it’s an anti-acid. I also liked how it explained that magnesium hydroxide explains that the brand name is the milk of magnesia and that milk of magnesia looks just like dairy milk for and has a milky substance and causes diarrhea which will help me remember that it has a laxative effect. This audiobook called “Goodnight Pharm” will prepare me for the NCLEX boards I will take when I graduate nursing school. I love that it’s called “Goodnight pharm” which is meant for you to lay down and just listen to before going to bed. I will definitely have to keep this audiobook in my library to ensure I have it while I am preparing for my NCLEX boards, I highly recommend this book. Thank you.
