Acerca de esta escucha

Throughout history, people have vanished within the wilderness, never to be heard from again....

Hundreds have disappeared. So many that we've lost count.

Once Search and Rescue teams pull out and the news cameras switch off, the spotlight on these individuals dim and the cases turn cold. What's more, hundreds of human remains are discovered every year and lie waiting to be identified in drawers, boxes, and unmarked graves scattered across Canada.

Investigative author Tim Marczenko bushwhacks through Ontario’s coldest case files, piecing together the facts from firsthand interviews, declassified police reports, and lost journals to tell an accurate account of the missing up until their final moments...when their footprints ended and the mystery began.

These are the mysterious disappearances you’ve never heard of, and the ones that cry out the loudest to be solved.

A powerful new perspective exposes the reality of what it is like to vanish without a trace and how, if we are not careful, we will all be susceptible to the same fate.

Who will be next?

Fiercely researched, authoritative and chilling, Gone Cold will change the way you look at disappearances and haunt you well beyond the final chapter.

although most of the stories were sad the writer was able to give us a view of all sides of the story.

Great stories to remember the ones that were lost.

This book is too full of statistics and procedures to be interesting. This book put me to sleep every time I listened to it....

Actually this is the worst of my purchases yet...

This book isn't just about those that disappeared, it also teaches you methods used to locate someone, how organizations can help or hold up investigations. It is very well researched.

I learned a lot!

Not the worst book I’ve listened to but far from great. It meanders at times, mulches over the same concept several times and throws out some really far fetched ideas. What’s more likely? That an 80 year-old woman walked through a worm hole or that she just got eaten by wildlife while walking the forest alone and dragged into the underbrush? I applaud the author’s effort but I’d save your credit and find something else.

Meh… I’d pass on this one

This is the most soulless and boring book I’ve ever listened to. Mix of dry details and rants about how investigations should be but very little captivating content. Wish I could get my money back

D for the effort
