Fantastic Synthesis of Information
Thibaut has created a fantastic piece for goal setting. I read quite a bit of personal development books and more than a few "fluff" the book with a lot of empty rhetoric while keeping the tent pole ideas spaced out. Even the greats do this.
However, Thibaut has taken the concept of goal setting and broken it down into core components and theories that are fundamental to success and productivity.
Very much recommend it.

Discover goals you didn't even know you had!
Would you listen to Goal Setting again? Why?
I think so. There are some gems in this book!
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
I really like the Goal Setting exercises. I discovered a few goals I didn't on a conscious level know I wanted to achieve. Hey! I was impressed with that which gave me new focus as well.

Must read....
A must read for the vision board creater or goal achiever. Short 4 hour listen that gets your gears in your head movin to start reaching for the stars! The author is clear, direct and easy to understand message/concepts. Great for the New Year!

Good material
Having ended last year with Jim Rohn’s audiobook on Goal Setting, I was delighted to listen to Thibaut Meurisse’s audiobook, Goal Setting. It was a good follow-up and was more practical than inspirational. It's short, full of useful information, and easy to follow.
I thought it was well-researched. The ideas weren’t particularly novel, but it was arranged in a way to make the ideas accessible. My only negative was that the author included too many quotes from other self-help gurus, which distracted me because I kept stopping to look for their work. (Is that good or bad? Who knows?! :-) )
Overall, however, it was a good book, and I would read other material from him. Good job, Mr. Meurisse. I've accomplished one of my small goals so far. Kudos! :-)

Solid information and motivation for goal setting
This is a good book and quick to read and still get a lot out of. My favorites by the author are Master Your Focus and Master Your Motivation. I’ve listened to each multiple times and Master Your Focus has definitely changed my life for the better!

Surprisingly Great!
Would you listen to Goal Setting again? Why?
I've listened to it twice and plan on listening to it at least one more time, but the reader isn't all that great.
Any additional comments?
This was really one of the best books I've read on Goal Setting and I've read about three of them. One thing I don't agree with however, is the book that he recommends on Self Esteem by Nathianal Brandon. A better book on the subject is called "Breaking The Chains of Low Self Esteem" as well as "Self Esteem: Fast Proven Treatment" by Alison. Also he mentions that goals should not be fueled by fear... well if that's the case then should one not have a Savings? Isn't that fueled by fear? What about conservative financial investments isn't that motivated by fear? Overall, an excellent book that I highly recommend.

It's Exactly What We Thought It Was
Where does Goal Setting rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I'm relatively new to audio books - I have four. But this is definitely in the top half of those four.
What does Meral Mathews bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
A voice that seems somewhat robotic. Not necessarily in the inflection sense - he does have some variation in that. But the first impression I got - which was not dispelled throughout the book - was a robotic voice. It's not off-putting, but it's constantly sitting in the back of my mind as I listen to the book as a distraction.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
It was probably around Chapter Seven when I realized there wasn't anything new I was learning...and that was perfect. I didn't purchase the book to teach me something new - I purchased it to help me set goals. I didn't need to learn a different methodology; I didn't need to build a different system. I needed to remember what's important about goal setting, and that's what the book delivered.
Any additional comments?
This book is perfect if you want a boiled-down version of a number of other motivational books. If you're a student of self-development you're probably not going to find any new material here, but what you will find is a concise summary of the why, how, when and what of settling goals without a ton of fluff (which is generally prevalent in other self-development books).
