Andy McDermott's best book yet

“Ghost Target” offers a thrilling narrative reminiscent of the Bourne films, combining gritty realism with a superb storyline and just the right amount of action. Unlike some contemporary books that lean towards over-the-top action sequences, “Ghost Target” maintains a balanced and engaging approach. Nonstop Action

We catch up with Alex Reeve a few months after the events that occurred in Italy in the last book. Separated from Connie, he is adrift and desperate to stay off of SC9s radar. By sheer happenstance, he stumbles over a news story that he recognizes as the work of an SC9 operative. He forms a plan to thwart an assassination and use it to expose SC9. No SC9 = No one hunting him or Connie. But things in his world rarely go exactly as planned.

This book is 100% action and pretty much nonstop. The action is brutal and not for the particularly squeamish. But Alex, despite his training, remains a man of honor who will do the right thing, even while telling himself that he is being stupid. I normally prefer a bit lighter fare, with a bit more humor. But this series is quite addictive. I recommend it.

An excellent storyline. Full of descriptive action.Interesting characters make for a good story. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
