Best Beach Book yet!

I absolutely loved 'The Blue Hour Sanction' by Landon Beach, and it has quickly become my favorite among his novels. I was extremely excited when the audiobook, narrated by Ms. Freeman, was released, and it did not disappoint. Ms. Freeman's performance was outstanding, providing a seamless narration that made it easy for me to follow, even during multitasking sessions—something crucial for my audiobook experience.

One of the standout aspects was Ms. Freeman's skill in character voice and dialogue. She brought the characters to life with subtle yet distinct voices, effortlessly capturing various accents. A notable example is her portrayal of Junius, where she seamlessly transitioned between his regular accent and a second one when imitating his idol, Richard Burton. The second accent sounded like a play off the first, which was a layer of depth I do not expect from most narrators.

Moreover, Ms. Freeman's reading conveyed passion and emotion, adapting her pace to match the intensity of the scenes. Tense moments were read with a quickened tempo, and the emotion was palpable, especially in pivotal scenes like when Rose Varga discovers who the mole is. Ms. Freeman's vocal inflections truly breathed life into the characters, allowing their personalities to shine through. Overall, her performance elevated an already gripping story, making 'The Blue Hour Sanction' a highly enjoyable listening experience.

was interesting to read the backstory of Adrian Astride - a character created by another character in his great lakes series

Alias meets The Red Sparrow

There were so many twists and turns in the novel, I never guessed what was coming next!

Well done, Suzanne Freeman, who portrayed Richard Burton so well, I had to look up and watch “The Spy Who Came in From the Cold.” She did a spot on impersonation.

It was a true pleasure to listen to the story and I couldn’t wait to get back to it. I was genuinely concerned for the characters and their well-being.

Great Book, Fabulous Narrator!

I really loved this book! kept me listening from the first sentence to the last. The narration is superb. I would highly recommend to anyone who likes spy thriller type stories. Thank you Landon Beach and Suzanne Elise Freeman for 12 more hours of really enjoyable listening!

THE BLUE HOUR SANCTION AUDIBLE REVIEW

Fascinating read, like all of Landon Beach's Great Lakes Saga books. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this narrator. She kept me engaged with smooth and consistent transitions between characters. Her voice inflections were not fake.

I look forward to listening and reading more books by this team.

Lots of fun to listen to I'm not a Big fan of the jumping around in the timeline but the author does a great job of keeping things straight

I found this awesome new (to me) author and narrator thanks to another narrator's post on Facebook. So thank you Scott Brick! The recommendation coming from Brick gave me high hopes about this book. I was not let down! The Blue Hour Sanction was a great action packed thriller and very well narrated! Most definitely looking forward to the next book!

action, adventure, twists and turns

This book was fast paced and a huge adventure. plenty of beautiful places, plots twists, and mystery. I really hope there will be more of these books for us in the future. Also, the narrator is awesome for this book!!

A Nail-biting Thriller!

The Blue Hour Sanction by Landon Beach is another book you can’t stop listening to. The 5 star narrator, Suzanne Elise Freeman, engages the audience immediately and her voice easily differentiates between the characters. She definitely brings the characters to life in this expertly written story within a story as only Beach can do. Tension builds throughout the entire book centering around a favorite character we first met in Huron Breeze, Adrienne Astra. In The Blue Hour Sanction we find out about her origin story. Astra takes on enormous physical and mental challenges using her athletic ability, determination and smarts to be hired by the Worth-Gideon Organization as its #1 assassin. She is now in a position to expose the lies, murders, and manipulations of those who own and work for Worth-Gideon and its competitor, Control. Lives are changed by acquiring new and secret identities leaving behind who they were forever. People are easily dispensed if not considered useful or they interfere with the reckless tactics to gain power and money. The reader gets completely absorbed and each incident is more thrilling than the last!
Landon Beach masterfully weaves all the characters together with ease. The suspense will captivate you and keep you actively listening for the next shocking event.
